The last state championship game I attended at AT&T was 2010. Sat at least 1 level above field level in a fairly comfortable cushioned seat. I think most if not all seats are cushioned at AT&T, although not positive. With that stated, I would love to have the opportunity of a short trip to NRG, BUT have no desire to sit through several games on those plastic seats. If I ever planned to attend most or all games, I would willingly accept the drive to AT&T vs 9 plus hours on plastic. Yes, I am taking in to consideration walking around between games and half times as it is about an 11 hour day. Any thoughts on seat comfort from those that have sat through several games in a row at AT&T and NRG??? Television broadcast leaves the one site as the most feasible set up and a likely scenario of smaller schools not being televised if several sites were utilized. So, as much as some If you may wish for coaches to determine sites, that is likely a moot point.

Once had a student teacher at an elementary school for physical education and his mentor (the actual teacher) was the head coach at a high school over 15 miles away. Yes, the HEAD basketball coach of a HISD school wasn't on campus as a teacher. Needless to say, his team was not very good, but did NOT place last in the district.

Interesting way to do this....one calendar year plus vs one school calendar year.

How fun would a back to back at the most central site possible be for the semifinals on a Saturday for at least the top 2 classes? I know it's pie in the sky thoughts, but not much to discuss with the present game.

Don't see it ever happening, but it would be nice to a seeding set up after regionals. Superintendents would likely never even have it offered to be voted on, but sure would be nice. YES, I realize even the seeding issue would cause arguments, all kinds of issues with travel, and a multititude of things I can't think of that would be reasonable opposition. They may or may not. However, something few state on here if ever. Many parents will "shop" schools and simply move to a town for sports without any recruiting taking place. If they keep their mouth shut and don't say or put anything on social media as to why....BAM quality athlete shows up. You have a crew in WOS worried about this very thing.
