Fun fact. Fannett and Hamshire are in the same class B district in the 1960-1961 school year. The schools consolidate and are allowed to stay in the same district in the 1961-1962 school year. The following year when realignment takes place HF moves from class B to class AA. A move of 2 levels! Imagine the outrage if that were allowed today. Fun example that comes to mind for me. Here it goes....Newton and Kirbyville consolidate between 2008 and 2009. How well would people have responded if Newton and Kirbyville had consolidated between realignments and the UIL simply left them in the district the were both already in? I realize the schools would not have made a 2 classification jump in 2010. The example is more about them being allowed to remain in AA for a year before moving when realignment occurs.

Answer as a liberal is beyond accurate if discussing the Professional Pedagogy and Responsibilities(PPR) Exam. You should try preparing future coaches for that test and have them argue about the answers with you that you disagree with as well. "Look do you want to be a teacher/coach or argue with me over an exam I didn't create?" That's just one of my many go to statements when prepping people for it.

You may try calling the coaches in the local 3A district. In the past at least, they have stopped JV play at the midpoint of district play. There maybe a team or teams wishing to continue to play some JV games beyond that point. If in fact, they still stop play at that point.

Before asking any other questions, are these 3 individuals coaching the basketball, baseball, and track & field squads as well? It would be highly unusual if there were coaches for these squads not assisting with football. I realize there could be Jr. High football coaches that coach other high school sports. However, that staff is likely smaller than the high school staff, thus leaving a need for coaches at the Jr. High for their winter and spring sports. Simply odd and difficult to truly believe and/or understand.
