You can look at all of the data and analyze it however you want. If you don't live in or near this area, you really have no idea. No disrespect to anyone, but this has totally changed just about every facet of life in the Cleveland area, not just CISD.

Yeah, gonna need an update on how much sleep the Supt. got last night..
-
He may have a statue at CP, but the Broncos have probably had this one circled since the schedule was put out. He'd better have his kids prepared tonight. The 'good coaches" will likely have Dayton ready, as well. We'll find out a lot tonight, one way or the other.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks

And here we........go!

Just looking at some of the local district standings, as things come down to playoff time. Can someone tell me why Nederland only played Lee one time in district play? Weather related?

Best of luck to a quality young man. Looking forward to great things from him in College Station.

Miles Robison is a very good coach that probably doesn't get the respect that he deserves, because of the location of his school. Year in and year out his teams play hard-nosed consistent ball and he/his staff get the most out of what they have to work with in each particular season. Keep on keepin' on Coach!

Barbers Hill (21) @ New Caney Porter (27) - FINAL
Socrates replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
If I recall, "Porter is not a great team, but they play hard and can beat a team that is not focused". Kiss of death -
Probably should have just upgraded the practice field and MS weight room, among other things and let Coach P. do his thing.
-
Maybe not quite as big of a deal with it not being a district game in the same classification, but if you went to either of these schools, you know that there is never any love lost. This game should give an early look at what the identity of these teams will be this year. Who you got?

BREAKING Crosby hires HFC/AD Joe Willis

They had a guy already on staff that checked these boxes and was instrumental in developing the success that the Cougars have had lately. -
BREAKING Crosby hires HFC/AD Joe Willis
Socrates replied to Matthew328's topic in High School Football
I would doubt that anyone on staff would want it. This has been brewing for a while. Supt has not been pro athletics. -

Big win, Congrats!! -
I think you need to look up the definition of troll. Or look in a mirror.
-
You don't even have a place in this discussion, you wouldn't know class if you signed up for it, you never post anything positive about anything, just troll and hate.
-
I would think that you guys would have bigger plans than gloating over a first round win, like it's the Super Bowl, over a team that you were supposed to beat handily. Again, congrats on doing pretty much what you were supposed to do, but a little class goes a long way. Your team is good enough that you can show class, even if you don't think the opposition is not. But then again, I am old school.
-
Have you ever heard the phrase "act like you've been there before". Good luck the rest of the way.

Yes, now it's a troll party, Falcon and Unwoke!!

Keeping your streak alive of positive and uplifting comments, great job.

Crosby (69) @ Baytown Sterling (21) - FINAL
Socrates replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
I didn't make this one, did Eudy start at qb? -
One thing that wasn't really mentioned after the PAM game was the play of Eudy. He played well enough to give Crosby a chance at the end. If he gets the start tonight, I don't think it hurts the Crosby all that much. He looks pretty capable of running the offense. Should be a good game.

I had a long reply typed, but I'll just say this. Kids live for social media. More likely a kid reads a post, than a head coach (on here, fb, wherever) and tells his friends that so in so is hurt. It eventually trickles back to the coach and now he knows that #__ for _____ is out this week and we need to prepare differently. It happens a lot, especially in baseball (pitchers).

I figured that would be the reaction.
