Vidor can win but the Dogs made a lot of errors the first time around. Hagler did not pitch in the game that Vidor won.

Glad to see the seniors finish strong.

I agree, they did not look very fired up against Lumberton and had some very questionable play calling.

Should be a great game, seen both of the Pirates scrimmages and the Texas High game and they have really improved since the scrimmages. Bridge City will be tough, you do not score 50 points on a team and not have something.

Was a great effort by the Pirates, all three of the junior running backs ran hard, line really did well. I think they should try more passes especially during the non-district schedule. We are a lot smaller on defense this year but they are trying hard. Pass defense still needs a lot of work, Texas High dropped a couple of passes when they were wide open that could really have hurt us. But to go up there and lose by missing an extra point I was real proud of how they played whether they won or loss. I would have like to see the boys win for their sake.

When do they play LCM

Pirates are undefeated, lost a couple of lineman to grades which will hurt but running backs are good.

I have watched #49 play the last two years, he is a great talent. The pirates can win but will have to play hard.

Why all of the downing of the Pirates. I do agree with the player in today's paper, predictions do not mean anything. But we did beat the Raiders and Indians last year and with 18 starters coming back they will be tough.

Jacob Peevey and Shane Pitman are the running backs at Vidor that need to be mentioned.

With 19 starters coming back, losing to Central by only one point and beating Lumberton last year I think the Pirates will be in contention.

Let us not get the big head over one district win. Ozen has some great athletes. We just need to go out and play hard the whole game and not wait until the second half.

I said scrimmage, Nederland has scrimmaged Kelly the last two years and the 2A school that Kelly played last week has a running back that is being recruited by the Longhorns.

I think we should move it Thursday. We do not want to have two weeks off before we start with Central.

Kelly beat St.Pius last year in district but St.Pius went on to win state.
