Because neither school has a gym big enough to hold the crowd. Not sure why HJ just built a new gym that is not big enough.......Should have built something like what EC has.
there is only 1 game a year that thier gym is not big enough, so why spend the extra money on building a bigger gym? -

Question for Bluedove? If you put the best 10 guys from Dallas area and the 10 best from Houston together who would win? The reason im asking you, is you seem to have a better insight on all these guys. -

Hull-Daisetta @ Colmesneil

It wont be that intimidating to ALTO. ;) -
I understand h-d is the best team in the district, and you do seem to be a very logical h-d fan. h-d is definitely better than they were last year but you cant honestly think they are above average. I think kountze is a little below average small school team. Kountze isnt even going to make the playoffs in their district and they beat the bobcats. Every h-d team from about 2002- 2008 would have beaten this years kountze team and those h-d teams were just average. If i'm not mistaken none of those teams won a playoff game. Im all about supporting your team but bobcat 55 gets on here and talks like h-d is going to win state and beat the world, it really makes it hard for fans from other schools to root for the bobcats

Doesnt H-D have 2 or 3 move ins every year? What makes this move in help them get out of the first round? Is he going to be their best player?
-
He sounds like a great hire for H-D. this is not a shot at H-D but why did he leave those other places where he was obviously successful to come to a struggling team? maybe he likes a challenge
No! Lol, we would be Liberty still same team but 4A, LOL, there was one kid on HD who could have played for Liberty and 1 kid maybe 2 on Hardin who would have played so we take Kale Rives and Chisholm Marberry and then go to 4A??? Definetly not
I agree this year and years to come theres not a whole lot of talent there but years prior to this year i would have done it in a heartbeat there were Lots of talent from all of these schools that could have easily competed at the 4A level

Yes I know that, I was just talking about your point that talent no matter what school you are from gets found by MAJOR D1 schools -

Not me personally I played way before aau was even thought about. I have just seen this happen far to many times. And your point about getting in the senior showcase how many major colleges are still looking for a guy usually kids at that level have been being looked at by their junior yr -

Dove I agree to a certain extent. Tell me this you've got a guy that goes to a small school that lives 45 min from the nearest town and his parents can't afford to drive him into town for aau practice but is easily good enough to be the best player on the team but can't play. Then you have a kid that goes to a big school that lives 5 min from the school where aau practice is being held. That's 1sounds disadvantage. Another let's say the same two kids are playing on the same night and they are both equal in talent and size but the kid at the small school is playing in the middle of nowhere tx. And the other kid is playing for let's say yates against wheatley where do you think those college coaches are going? And a 3rd disadvantage is the small school guy has a young head coach with no connections and an AD that hates basketball and just wants football year around. And the big school guy has a head coach that has college coaches on speed dial. So you tell me which one has a better chance at going to a major D1. Now keep in mind im not saying the small school guy just scores as many points as the big school guy cause obviously the talent a small school guy plays against is alot weaker but im saying the small school guy if put in the same situation as the big school guy would have the exact same stats -

My point is if J'covan is good enough to be they best player at Texas than thesthree easily could have played at a D-1 school somewhere.
Tremain hardly went to a small school. He went to the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship and has been starting at safety the last two seasons.
I didn't mean he went to a small college I meant a small highschool. Letsinger also went to a big college he went to Texas A&M on a track scholarship, after turning down a scholarship to angelina jc for basketball and a small offer from SFA to play basket my point was if those 3 would have gone to 5A highschools they would have gotten a D1 offers -
