trust me HD is going to have more trouble than they think replacing the seniors that they lost. Hardin was a much better team last year just not on that night. But this years Hardin team could even have a bad game and still beat this years HD team

Its fun to live in the past bobcat 55 but times are changing and WH and Evadale have closed the gap and WH beat the Bobcats 3 out of the last 5 years and two of those wins were by 30+ points and it seems to me like evadale is coming along nicely so i would watch what you say the might just make you eat your words

the district as a whole is down from what it used to be but thier is a huge gap between the 3 teams everyone keeps bringing up and the other teams with the exception of HI they are closing the gap but still not on the same level as WH, HD, and Evadale

i have to side with DV on this one. yes when perk was coming out of high school and after his first couple of years i really didn't think he was going to make it in the pro's, but he has defiantly proved me wrong, he has really worked on his game and his body i would say that give perk 3 or 4 more years and he will be in the top 5 centers in the NBA if he works on his free throws and his footwork down low

they did and if I'm not mistaken HD was tied with WH at half time until a young oiler team got tired of tackling Aaron cook without cook WH would have won the game last year and the only player that WH lost was their QB. The oilers defense will be as good as Evadales was last year and i don't think that supper sophomore you talk about did much against them.

the Gilmore kid really didn't impress me when i saw him play. In my openion HD is the 3rd best team in the district behind Evadale and at this point slightly behind WH unless some kids really improve this off-season. HD has to many people to replace and no one on their team can replace that big runningback/linebacker they had.

i have to agree they were good but they weren't even the two best players in the area and their was nobody in the area this year that i would consider phenomenal

this should be a great game, i have to give the edge in athletes to anahuac and ill give the coaching edge to Hardin. I don't know where this game is going to be played but i think that home field will give a team a big advantage in this match up

i agree with what you say 1A as a whole is not what 3A and up is but i have seen plenty of football all classes and i can tell you that the top 3 or 4 players on a good 1A team are just as good as any 3A, 4A guys. now I'm not saying that about this kid because i have never seen him play but i have seen HD play and year in and year out usually the best player on their team is good enough to play at any 3A school in the state

As a matter of fact yes. H-D has one of the best winning traditions in SE Texas. From the 1930's to current times H-D has won many state championships and district championships. H-D most of the time dominates their district. Props to Evadale last year. Great team. just because he was the best player at HD doesnt mean that he will be the best athlete on the team at OF. yes maybe back in the day HD was a powerhouse but in the past 10 years they are far from a powerhouse. i can't even remember the last time that HD dominated thier district because thier last two district championships one of them they were tri district champs and the other one was two years ago and they had to come from behind to beat WH for the district championship. WH has as many district championships as HD does in the last 7 or 8 years so i wouldnt say that HD dominates thier district.

i remember the chambers kid he was a beast but i don't think he was all that fast he was just very allusive i never saw him get caught from behind but i don't even think he was the fastest kid on Liberty's team when he was there. he reminded me of tramaine thomas from east chambers fast but not fast enough to be in this topic

with 1A splitting what might the area 1A district look like?

If you are from HD, you won't be hearing of your team winning at Hardin this year. i agree hardin will be pretty tough this year

i think that WH will have the most talent of the defensive side of the ball this year now weather or not they play with heart and determination that has yet to be seen but i can see them being comparable to evadale's D of last year. Now HD will have as much talent on D as WH at the top of their roster but i don't see their second tear guys being at the level of WH's second tear guys. evadale will still be very well coached and they will play their hearts out from the first snap to the last but i just don't see them with the talent that they had on d like last year due to graduation

villemez in a great player but you are exaggerating his size a little bit don't you think their is no way he is 6'3

in my opinion DB's really aren't that skilled yes they are athletic but not skilled because if they were they would be playing WR, RB, or QB

this will be a great opportunity for Tyler it will be fun to just get out there and play with some great talent with no pressure of winning or losing

i would run a simple iso or dive play tell my player to go down as soon as possible then punt if thier is still time on the clock
