[/quote] I believe that the hope is to get through a lot earlier so that folks can be home before the freeze gets really, really bad.   I understand your point that cold weather without precipitation should not adversely affect travel.  But we really can't fault school officials for being cautious, even if it may be appear to be overly cautious. [/quote] I agree. Only thing i can think of is the standing water on the sides of the roads will freeze. No Precip til late Thursday into Friday.

    Coach Toby Foreman has been selected to receive the 2010 Coach of the Year award at the state level for Boys Track and Field. This award is on behalf of the National Federation of State High School Coaches Association. The NFHS Coaches Association is the official national coaches association of the National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS). The NFHS recognizes coaches at the state, sectional, and national level. CONGRATULATIONS on his State recognition!
