What Teams Would You Most Like To See Play One Another?

That could happen again in the State Semi finals. I think Wimberely will beat Cuero in the Quarterfinals. -
I'll be waiting after the games.

Sutton 'alert and responsive' in Stillwater hospitalESPN.com news services STILLWATER, Okla. -- Former Oklahoma State basketball coach Eddie Sutton was taken to a Stillwater hospital Friday morning after being found unresponsive in his car outside a Stillwater convenience store, police said. In a statement, Stillwater Medical Center said Sutton is "alert and responsive. " "The ER physician stated that Mr. Sutton is not under the influence of alcohol; however a possible reaction to new medication prescribed by his physician may be the cause of this incident," the release said. "The physician expects the patient to be evaluated and released sometime [Friday.]" Oklahoma State spokesman Gary Shutt told The Oklahoman newspaper that Sutton had an allergic reaction to a new prescription medication. Sutton had been "largely unresponsive" but able to communicate verbally with police officers and paramedics after they responded to the convenience store around 9:34 a.m. Friday, Stillwater Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said. Oklahoma State assistant coach James Dickey told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that Sutton was resting comfortably at the hospital. Dickey said he visited Sutton Friday morning and said that he was told he would be released later Friday. Dickey said the the Cowboys' exhibition scheduled for Friday night agaisnst Pittsburg State that will go on as planned. He said head coach Sean Sutton, who is Eddie Sutton's son, was at the hospital but would be coaching the team. Sutton, 70, retired in May after compiling 798 wins in 36 years as a college coach at Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma State, his alma mater. His retirement came about three months after a drunken driving accident caused him to miss the Cowboys' final 10 games last season. After his retirement, Sutton had begun working with a new alcohol education and support program at Oklahoma State. His first appearance was a speech to about 1,500 students at a fraternity house in September. Sutton, who ranks fifth in career wins among Division I men's coaches, reached the Final Four with Arkansas in 1978 and with Oklahoma State in 1995 and 2004. The Associated Press contributed to this story.

Cuban's antics spur new code of conduct for owners..... Web Posted: 11/03/2006 12:22 AM CST Johnny Ludden Express-News Staff Writer DALLAS — Oh, the memories. The last time Bruce Bowen walked off the floor at American Airlines Center, he was greeted by a curt, two-word curse from Dallas owner Mark Cuban. Cuban immediately sent a Mavericks employee to the Spurs' locker room to apologize to Bowen. He also approached Bowen before Game 7 and asked if he had received the apology. When Bowen questioned its sincerity, Cuban apologized again. The Spurs, however, haven't forgotten the incident. "It was pretty unbelievable," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "There might be an irate fan somewhere in the U.S. that might do something like that, but you wouldn't expect that from an owner." The NBA is developing a code of conduct for owners. Spurs chairman Peter Holt said Cuban's incident with Bowen didn't spur the policy as much as his on-court complaints about officiating. Holt said the league would be "two-faced" if it didn't hold owners to a similar standard as players. During the recent Board of Governors meeting in New York, the owners were told the NBA ranked last in "on-court and off-court professionalism" among the four major U.S. professional sports leagues, Holt said. "Our whole thought process as owners is, 'How can we ask everybody to be one way and we're not willing to live under essentially the same code of conduct?'" Holt said. Holt also said he understands why Cuban would think the policy is directed at him. "I think Mark has been the most prime example of acting out at times," said Holt, who later bolted out of his sideline chair to yell at an official for a traveling call on Tony Parker. "We all love Mark. He's turned this franchise around. He's brought a lot of good attention to the league with the things he's done. "But I think the sense of frustration for the owners is that we're not having discussions first internally." __________________

Colbert-inspired hockey mascot flying off shelvesAssociated Press SAGINAW, Mich. -- Fake news has been very good to the Saginaw Spirit. The junior hockey club has TV host Stephen Colbert to thank for the sudden interest in the team's jerseys and hats, which now are selling in places as far and wide as California, Ireland and Scotland. "Our hat sales are up 25 percent over last year, and Stephen Colbert has helped us in a big way by talking about us every week," managing partner Craig Goslin told The Saginaw News. When the team announced it was seeking a name for its new eagle mascot, Colbert -- host of "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central -- began pleading on the air for the Spirit to name it after him. The team obliged in September, and Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle was born. Colbert showed the mascot's debut on his program and has given weekly updates on the team's progress ever since. Goslin said the team recently sent 25 jerseys to California -- the largest single jersey order to date. He said a man recognized a Spirit pullover he was wearing in the Atlanta airport recently and told him he was enjoying hearing about the team on the show. "I gave him my business card and told him how he could order some merchandise," Goslin said. "He said he definitely would." And the team is pretty good, too. The Spirit is in first place in the West Division of the Ontario Hockey League. Copyright 2006 by The Associated Press
