  1. LCM couldn't stop the run. Someone explain to me how they were less than 15 yards away from the winning touchdown with less than 30 seconds left? They could have tied it but he threw an INT.

  6. Orange #3? Only question mark to me. No disrespect to the stangs You are right on, Jag. Central and Vidor both run all over WOS. They should probably be 1 and 2. And, since Brook beat Central, and Central beat Vidor, you would have to think that Brook is top 5. PAM is also better than some of these teams. In fact, PAM might be the best in the area right now. We didn't play WO-S this year. But these are some interesting rankings... I meant both WOULD run over WOS. No way WOS would hang with Central. That's your opinion.

  8. McCollough rushes through boys in Little League action Van Wade The Orange Leader DEWEYVILLE — For Deweyville seventh grader Lauren McCollough, this season has been an adventure and boys on the other side of the lineof scrimmage have been left balck and blue. You see, Lauren, 12, plays for Deweyville’s Senior Little League football team. About two weeks ago, she became the first girl to ever score in the league. She scored on an 81-yard run and a 24-yard run and even added a two-point conversion run to boot. The scary thing, she likes defense the best. “I like defense because you can try to beat boys up,†said McCollough. “On offense, you aren’t allowed to use your hand as much. On defense, you can kinda throw people around.†So how did it feel to put points on the board? “I just went out and ran all the way,â€said McCollough. “I had some good blockers on the plays.†McCollough was a cheerleader last year but has been a fan of the game for years and was urged to give it a shot by her friends and her family went along with it as well. “Everyone always told me that I was fast,†said McCollough. “I can be pretty tough at tackling too. I’ve got a lot of fans pushing me.†McCollough is in seventh grade at Deweyville and said she was approached by Deweyville coaches to come play for them. However, she’s also a standout in volleyball and plays for the school in that capacity. “I love volleyball too and I didn’t want to let my team down,†said McCollough. “A lot oftimes, football and volleyball play on the same nights. Right now, I’m getting to play football on Saturdays.†So could McCollough actually line up and play for the Deweyville varsity and Coach Russell McDaniel one day? “That would be awesome,†said McCollouch.
