  2. [Hidden Content] Bulldogs to open year at Class 4A Livingston Lions By JIMMY GALVAN Managing Editor Sixty days. That's how long football addicts have until their first taste of the sport. On Aug. 19, the Jasper Bulldogs will return to the football field in a scrimmage contest against Port Neches-Groves at the Bone Yard. A following scrimmage the following Friday, Aug. 25 against Nederland will be the final tuneup before the season opener Friday, Sept. 1. The Bulldogs will embark on their quest for a Class 3A state championship in Livingston when they take on the tough Class 4A Lions at 7:30 p.m. Livingston returns 14 starters from last year's 7-4 squad and will be looking for back-to-back playoff berths. On Friday, Sept. 8, Jasper returns home to take on Barbers Hill. The Eagles return 14 starters from last year's 10-1 squad. The Eagles move from Class 3A to Class 4A and feature wide receiver Mason Fisher, who caught 49 passes for 980 yards. On Friday, Sept. 15, cross-county rival Newton pays a visit to the Bone Yard. The Bulldogs will be looking to avenge last year's defeat at the hands of Class 2A Eagles. Jasper enjoys an open date before beginning district play against Kirbyville on the road. The following Friday, Oct. 6, Jasper takes on Orangefield at BulldogStadium before taking to the road to take on Bridge City on Friday, Oct. 13. The Bulldogs return home for a homecoming matchup with HamshireFannett on Friday, Oct. 20. A crucial district road contest will be held Friday, Oct. 27 when Jasper travels to West Orange-Stark. On Friday, Nov. 3, Jasper closes out its home campaign when they take on Hardin-Jefferson during senior recognition night. The regular season concludes as it did last year with a traveling contest to Silsbee on Friday, Nov. 10
  3. Yea i hear PTA is unhappy with the kids leaving.
  4. No, i believe he has to go to that School.
  5. If you were a High School Coach would you play in 7 on 7 every year? ALot of schools don't. I like it because the kids get to practice during the summer and stay sharp with their throwing and recieving. And the defenders stay sharp as well. Don't get me wrong just because a team wins State in 7 on 7 doesn't mean they'll do well when the pads go on. I seen teams win State in 7 on 7 and when the pads go on win 1 game all year. Your Opinions?
  6. Would You Participate in 7 on 7?

  17. Bridge City will be posted tonight. We try and get 1 or 2 a day. They take time because of the designs we use on them as for as the color scheme goes that you see on the webpage. The BC and WOS previews are now up.
  18. I can see the UIL's point though on the smaller schools not having Spring. Alot of kids play all sports.
