I remember talking to the former Tomball Coach a few Years back at a Playoff game in Houston and he Coached at Tomball in the 80's and he said he had never seen a Defense like that either. Jaxon Appell from Friendswood in 2000 said he didn't even want to go back on the field in the 2nd half of that Playoff game.

Great Poll Gostangs. I'm not just saying this because i'm a Homer. But the 87 WOS Mustangs still to this day was the best team i've ever seen. Even to this day i have people telling me that the Defense they had was the best ever that Year. I remember Teams not being able to pass or run on them even in the playoffs. What a team that was and what a way for Kevin Smith to finish his HS career.

Summer Shoot-out at Woden HS We are having a summer basketball tournament at Woden on June 16th and 17th. We have 12 teams entered and are hoping to get 16. Every team is guaranteed at least 4 games and will play at least one game in the 2000 seat King Gym. We will use all 3 gyms on campus and all of them are air-conditioned. Entry fee is $125. This will be Woodville's toughest challenge to date. Still though i believe they pull it out in 3.
