Brenham and Katy Taylor clinched the first two spots in the 7 on 7 state championship tournament which will be held in mid July at Texas A&M University. After a day full of hotly contested action Brenham advanced to the championship game of the Houston Texans SQT and clinched a spot in the state tournament with a 26-20 win over Alamo Heights. Katy Taylor knocked off Cypress Falls in a shootout with a 41-40 win to advance to state. Brenham and Katy Taylor will face off in the SQT championship game which in all reality is just for show as both teams have accomplished the big goal of qualifying for state.
