Nederland JV JV scores from this weekend: Thursday vs. John Cooper-Lost 16-3 Friday vs. Port Arthur Memorial-Lost 10-9 Saturday vs. Centerville-Won 10-3 Overall this was a good tournament for the 'Dogs. I know that the scores and the record doesn't indicate it, but keep in mind this was a VARSITY tournament. Against Memorial the 'Dogs were down 9-1 in the 5th and staged a comeback, then today the 'Dogs were tied at 3 after 5 and exploded for 7 runs in the 6th. Josh Miller threw a complete game to pick up the win. I think this will serve as a good preparation tool as the JV 'Dogs enter district play on Tuesday.

I think HF will surprise some folks in District. It will be tough to beat BC but any given night you never know.

Westbrook defeats Bay City 3-0 to win Victoria ISD Tourney. Josiah Svoboda with a CG shutout (4 hitter) for the Bruins Bruins record heading into district stands at 12-3-1. Detail late tonight.
