Building blocks A two-level press box, three brick ticket booths and a more secured visitor's side bleachers are under construction at the H-F football stadium as the season nears. Also being built among the ongoing repairs from damage suffered during Hurricane Ike last year is a 40-foot by 40-foot storage locker and a new fence that surrounds the stadium, Mangan said. All serve as reminders that the school - like the team - can be built into something to be proud of.

New offense How Longhorn players adapt to the team's new flex-bone, veer option offense will go a long way in determining the team's success. Central used the option offense last season to get four rounds deep in the playoffs, and H-F can only dream of similar success. H-F players studied the run-based offense that relies on fakes and misdirection plays during the summer but can only now be coached. "It's new to us, but we've tailored it to fit our system," said H-F coach Walt Mangan, introduced to the offense in January at a coaching clinic in College Station.

Yep. Coach Hooks said this group has Heart which is a good thing along with the bigger OL.

It was all running and weights at WO-S. Came in the best shape for the first day in years according to Coach.

WO-S.....In great Condition for the first day! Bigger OL which is a good thing. This team seems to have the Heart and should go along way. Oh! Did i mention speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vidor......Good size along with good depth, should make the Postseason this year.
