The 400-meter relay team of Josh Gloston, Trey Franks, Phillip Jones and James Haynes ran a 41.88 to win the event and become state leaders in 3A. WO-S’ 800-meter relay team of Gloston, Franks, Hayens and Justin Thomas ran a 1:28.1 to finish second behind a 4A school. The Mustangs now lead the state in 3A in this event as well. Franks, who leads the area in the 100-meter dash with a 10.15, now leads all of 3A in the 200 meters after Saturday. Franks blistered up the track with a 21.46 to win the event. Haynes finished fourth. Jones also had success in the hurdle events. Jones won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.03 and then finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.27.
