  1. I didn't make it but was told both teams looked good. Hard to post scrimmage scores as both teams played different kids at different positions etc...

  14. Cats-Hawks set; Lady Bears wait Gabe Pruett The Orange Leader Ring the bell. It is time for Round 3 in the rivalry between the Orangefied Lady Bobcats and Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks. The No. 9 Lady Bobcats will face the No. 19 Lady Hawks for the third time this season at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Lumberton High School to decide the playoff seedings for District 21-3A. Orangefield and Hardin-Jefferson finished tied in the district standings this season and will share the district title. The Lady Bobcats defeated Silsbee and the Lady Hawks downed Hamshire-Fannett Tuesday to force the tie. Orangefield (24-5, 9-1) defeated Hardin-Jefferson (21-7, 9-1) last Friday 50-39 in Sour Lake. Senior Jessica Weldon had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the contest while Olivia Wagner added 19 points and eight rebounds. Allie Beach finished with six points and eight rebounds. It was a different story in the first half of district play in Orangefield. The Lady Hawks were victorious 55-38 in Bobcats Gym behind 16 points and 15 rebounds from Victoria Fontenot. Taylor Sutherland had 12 points in the win. Wagner had 15 points in the loss while Beach finished with 13 points and six rebounds. The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears will have to wait a while to figure out who they will play in Class 4A Region III bi-district round. There was a three-way tie for first in 19-4A between C.E. King, Barbers Hill and Kingwood Park. C.E. King won a coin flip and gets to sit out the first part of a three-way tournament for first. Barbers Hill and Kingwood Park play at 6 p.m. Friday at Dayton High School. The winner will face C.E. King at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dayton. LC-M will face the winner of the three-way tournament next week.
