  2. www.texasprepinsider.com Why LB Justin Isadore Picked The Frogs! By Josh Harvey BigPurpleNation.com Publisher Posted Sep 9, 2008 If Beaumont, TX (Ozen High School) linebacker Justin Isadore wants to become an elite player at the next level, he knows TCU is a great place to learn. “I keep hearing about Jason Phillips and I have seen him on tape a couple times. The guy is pretty good. I think they can get me to that level.†Last week the senior became the 14th 2009 commitment for the Frogs. He chose TCU over: Arizona State, Kentucky, Auburn, Kansas, Colorado State, Syracuse, and Iowa State. “Really what it came down to is out of all the schools they really seemed like they cared about me and recruited me the hardest,†stated Isadore to BigPurpleNation.com. “I really think they are going to take care of me when I get there. They have a great staff up there. It’s close in Texas and I really like Coach Patterson, he seems like a cool guy.†In 2007 the linebacker had 112 tackles and recorded four fumble recoveries for the 4-6 Ozen Panthers. While last season was an improvement compared to 2006, Isadore told DevilDigest.com earlier this month that his teammates have their sights set much higher this year. “We have 15 players returning this year and we should be in good shape,†said Isadore. “We should go undefeated this year…I’m hoping to be named All-District and All-State.†So far, the team is not playing to Isadore’s plan. After a 50-7 loss to Beaumont West Brook in week one, the Ozen Panthers lost a close one to the Memorial Titans 22-19 last week. “I still really think we are going to be pretty good this year. We have played two really good teams but we could of won the last one.†Against Memorial, Isadore had a double digital tackle performance with eight by half time. The 2009 recruit did not attend any team camps or combines in the off-season, and only unofficially visited Auburn and TCU. He will be trying to make it to a TCU home game this fall. “Fort Worth was great. The great campus was great. They are rebuilding a lot of stuff and I really know that I will get a good education when I go there,†said Isadore. In July, the linebacker told KentuckySportsReport.com that when picking a school he would have a few pieces of criteria. “The academic programs are important. I also want to see who they’ve sent to the NFL, and the overall conference.†The senior standout has recently run a 4.66 forty, benches 285 pounds, and squats nearly 580 pounds. When asked what he thought about Jason Phillips speed at the linebacker position he commented, “He’s blazing…He’s blazing†Isadore is currently not rated by Scout.com but is sure to rise in the rankings during his senior season. Look for more Justin Isadore updates from BigPurpleNation.com throughout the year.

  5. That's the National Hurricane Center Track..
  6. tough one....Right now mid Tx coast. I'll know more late tomorrow.
  7. The new GFS model will be out around 11:15 or so.
  8. AFTER WOBBLING A BIT TO THE NORTHWEST AND ALMOST MOVING ASHORE ON THE SOUTH COAST OF CUBA...THE MOTION HAS SHIFTED BACK TO THE WEST-NORTHWEST OR 290/11 AND IKE IS MOVING ROUGHLY PARALLEL TO...AND JUST OFFSHORE OF...THE COAST. THE TRACK MODELS ARE IN VERY CLOSE AGREEMENT ON THE MOTION OF IKE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. IN 3-5 DAYS...THE GUIDANCE SPREADS OUT SOMEWHAT. THE GLOBAL MODELS DEPICT A PRONOUNCED MID-TROPOSPHERIC RIDGE OVER THE NORTHERN GULF COAST IN THE LATTER PART OF THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE GFS AND ITS ENSEMBLE MEAN...ALONG WITH THE NOGAPS...SHOW THAT THIS RIDGE WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH TO CAUSE IKE TO TURN TOWARD THE WEST IN 96-120 HOURS. SOME OF THE GUIDANCE SUCH AS THE HWRF AND GFDL INDICATE THAT A SHORT WAVE TROUGH MOVING FROM THE ROCKIES WILL ERODE THE RIDGE ENOUGH TO INDUCE A MORE NORTHWARD TURN NEAR THE END OF THE PERIOD. I AM FAVORING THE MORE WESTWARD OPTION AT THIS TIME SINCE IT WOULD SEEM THAT THE GFDL AND HWRF...WHICH ARE REGIONAL MODELS...WOULD NOT HANDLE THE EVOLUTION OF MID-LATITUDE SHORT WAVE TROUGHS AS WELL AS A GLOBAL MODEL. THE OFFICIAL TRACK FORECAST IS SHIFTED SOUTHWARD FROM THE PREVIOUS ONE AT DAYS 4 AND 5 BUT IS STILL GENERALLY NORTH OF THE DYNAMICAL TRACK MODEL CONSENSUS. AS ALWAYS...IT CANNOT BE OVEREMPHASIZED THAT ONE SHOULD NOT FOCUS ON 4 AND 5 DAY FORECAST POINTS SINCE THESE CAN BE SUBJECT TO SUBSTANTIAL ERRORS.
