  1. WO-S continued its streak of beating the 4A district champs every year since dropping to 3A. I realize it's technically a three-way tie, but Dayton has as much hand in it as anyone.
  2. 73-0 was the final with a running clock in the fourth.
  3. They'll have it. The coaching staff at the HS level will have them ready to dominate. Besides, BC only won 14-6. It's not unheard of for BC to beat WO-S at the Jr. High and JV levels - just the varsity level
  4. Belly ache away. We need to sharpen our passing game, and it's not our job to make BC look better. We're at a disadvantage in that we're playing our weakest opponent going into the playoffs, then a playoff team that is from a very weak district, then the TOP TEAM IN THE STATE (barring an upset in round one of one of us).
  5. Compare points allowed per game by the teams you mentioned to those allowed by WO-S. HJ gives up 35 ppg. Kville gives up 22 ppg. HF gives up 21 ppg. WO-S gives up 9 ppg. Add to that the fact that BC gives up an incredible 52 points per game (and an average of 65 over the last four games ).
  6. State-wide, no, but in this district, we are.
  7. I agree that resting a team for a game can make them rusty or - in long delays - out of shape. But if you're looking for a time when resting starters HELPED a team, I think you're off track. For example, I don't even remember if the Colts rested Manning in the last reg. season game last year, but, for the sake of argument, let's say they did. Then my example would be like this: 06, Indy's last reg. season game: The Colts rested Peyton Manning and he DIDN'T suffer a season-ending knee injury If a team rested a starter, it probably wasn't for the sake of "rest," but to avoid a catastrophic injury suffered during a meaningless game.
  8. Comparing semi-common opponents means nothing, and, yes, anything can happen. That said, let's compare: WO-S dominated a team (Hamshire-Fannett) that dominated two teams from Coldspring's district. One of them lost to Coldspring by two (Liberty) and the other willl play on Friday. Coldspring has allowed high scores of 55, 54 and 43. WO-S has allowed high scores of 21, 15 and 14 (the latter two being 4A teams). Coldspring has passed for 386 yards and rushed for 2372. WO-S has allowed an average of 78 rushing yards per game. WO-S has passed for 941 and rushed for 2166. Coldspring has allowed an average of 210 yards per game. As always, we're not unbeatable, but we're not Cleveland! Money is on the Mustangs. Be safe and careful!
  9. I agree that anything can happen. Last year, I said the same thing about Liberty and WO-S won by 60. If the Mustangs come in ready for Coldspring - NOT GIDDINGS - it won't be a game. Same with Jasper/Silsbee and Kirbyville.
  10. Yep, and I can only remember losing there three times out of 20-some-odd games. We won five there in 2000, including an awesome semifinal game against Calallen.
  11. WO-S leaves at halftime, BC allows only 20 in second half
  12. My understanding was that each team lost one player, but the whole Dayton bench crossed the field, so it's quite possible that I missed something.
  13. 31-7 is not just "beat." It's a pounding. Plus, we gave up 14 to OF - one TD in trash time. You gave up 42 and almost needed OT. There's no comparison between WO-S and Kville this year (or any other).
  14. Oh, yes, Punkin. We're "scard" of a team that has never - and probably WILL NEVER - beat us at the varsity level. It's a shame that your varsity probably would lose to both our freshmen and your freshmen, but I hope you can at least take some comfort from the fact that BC is close enough to WO-S that some people around the state will associate you with us out of ignorance. On another topic, I keep hearing all this criticism of WO-S's academics, but I think I'm faring pretty well, and if I were a BCISD board member, I'd lobby for some "assassin" to destroy your computer. in uther werds i thank u shud not tipe so much cuz u sound dumb as ah box uh racuun hare.
  15. Where did you "correct" me? I was just letting you know that you sound undereducated.
  16. In 3A, you could argue for the Brooks turnaround OR the Hooks continued dominance.
  17. There is even dust on your post. BC won't be in the playoff picture for at least two years AFTER this year.
  18. Say what you will about WO-S, but we do have a winning percentage that is remarkable - in 5A, 4A and 3A. See, BC NEVER made the playoffs in 4A. There was a 31 YEAR playoff drought for the cards. In 51 years of eligibility, BC has made the playoffs eight (that's 8) times and has four (that's 4) district titles (none in a district including the Mustangs). In 30 years of eligibility, WO-S has made the playoffs 17 (that's seventeen - eight times two plus one) times and 16 district titles (four times four). Are we REALLY comparing these two programs? That's as silly as it gets. Go on and try to slight our "so-called great" record. Better yet, compare it to ANYONE ELSE. BC can't even hang with HF as far as history goes.
  19. "Happend?" "Scard?" I have a two-year-old who spells better.
  20. Maybe, but only two teams have scored more than 14 - Jasper (21) and Bay City (15). I'd say kneel it before you p##s off the coaches and they run up 90
  21. I teach seventh grade English to at-risk kids in Beaumont, and their English is better than yours. GO BCISD!
  22. The Good News: Bridge City is very young. The Bad News: West Orange-Stark is very young, Silsbee is very young, Jasper is very young.
  23. Sorry, I don't read crapolio from teams that have never beaten us in a million tries. There's no need for anyone to look up stats to compare BC to WO-S. It's a joke. Good luck with your "new" team. Be sure to keep up with the varsity, just in case they win a game someday. Giddings? Oh yeah - blew em out two years ago and lost by a td last year. What about them? Where were your boys? Getting their "supplies?"
  24. Has the BC program really sunk so low into awfulness that you're starting a trash-talk thread about the FRESHMAN teams? ROTMFFLMAO I'd pick WO-S in a blowout, but even if BC wins at the fish level, it will never translate to varsity. Good luck under those "Thursday Night Lights." (and watch out for Garrett, the best QB at any OC school).
