  1. True. Cleveland could run up a few points against KV, at least. Balla, you talked smack for weeks before your boys got dominated - beaten into submission. Let's not start. You wouldn't play us until the quarterfinals, which is the fourth round. If the playoffs fall as things are now, that would mean you have to get past #10 Caldwell or Columbus, then #11 Diboll or China Spring. We'd have to get past #1 Giddings, #7 La Vega and one-loss Madisonville. That's a tougher road than Kville will have. I don't see a rematch happening. Lucky you.
  2. If we can help it, that is. When OF puts up 60 (no offense), I have to wonder whether it will be harder to score or to not score.
  3. Not necessarily. You also have to look at their YPC and match it up against strong teams, not just patsies. Five 70 yard runs against Sisters of the Blind and Poor ain't so impressive, even though it will shoot that YPC up like a rocket.
  4. It's looking like this will end up being a "down year" compared to what is to come over the next four to five (knock on wood), even though 8-1 with just a three-point loss is pretty dang strong.
  5. It's certainly possible, but keep in mind that most of the district is VERY young this year, especially WO-S, Silsbee and Jasper. All three of those, like BC, are primarily underclassmen - many sophomores. I know Silsbee's and Jasper's QBs are sophomores, Hypolite and Quinny Garrett are juniors, and WO-S has an AWESOME JV quarterback who might make his way into a few games next year. BC will have a chance to fight for their spot, but of the current "top 4" teams, only Kirbyville is losing a whole lot.
  6. Wow. I know even less about Coldspring - other than that they lost to y'all and barely beat Liberty, who only beat BC by 3!
  7. Yep. They would be "co-champs," regardless of head-to-head records. I wish it wasn't the case, but it is.
  8. There was a looooooooooong dry spell for BC when they were in 4A. It seems like they went 30 years or so with a "best record" of 5-5 or 6-4. The drop to 3A did wonders for them, but I don't think they've ever been in the condition they seem to be this year.
  9. I didn't think it was disrespectful, and I don't think their band played.
  10. I don't see Silsbee or Jasper winning by that much. That's a really tight matchup - possibly the tightest matchup in this district in years (besides HJ and BC, but on the other end of the spectrum ).
  11. No, the kid to "WOW" about is the JV QB. He's a freshman and 6'1 with a great touch and arm, speed and vision. Look out for him. I think he's also a Garrett, but I'm not sure if he's related.
  12. Dayton's D has been impressive, but I think last night was just a nightmare matchup for Nederland. From all accounts, it sounds like they just got into the Bulldogs' heads and forced them to give up. That's a shame. Dayton has lost three games, so they are far from unbeatable. Everyone says they "feel sorry for Lumberton next week," but I don't see it. I think the Raiders will pull it off.
  13. Apparently, it has already happened. Check out the user name.
  14. If they can play football or they don't want their kids having physical relationships with their teachers.
  15. I hear we're playing you guys round 1. What should we expect?
  16. HJ is giving up 46 ppg, including against BC.
  17. Shouldn't matter. We'll have re-alignment this next year, right? From what I've heard, we'll be in a district with quite a few of the teams from this district.
  18. Like anyone would turn down Danny Ray Hooks! :
  19. (Believe it or not, most WO-S fans are secret closet supporters of Orangefield against everyone but WO-S. We root against mlc, against BC, against Vidor. We root for OF. But I did NOT say this, which is why it's in parenthesis.) This post will self destruct.
  20. At the WO-S game, we all concurred that it sounds like a gay guy going oooOOOOOOooooh! (Then we discovered that big, hairy gay guys are known as "bears." WOW! It could be a whole new image! But, according to the team's entrance music this year, I'm way behind on this one (meaning last to know, not "bringing up the rear." ugh).
  21. I probably saw the same doctor that you did. He recommended further testing when he realized that I actually bleed blue, but when he tried to send me for further testing, I stiff armed him and dove over the secretary's desk for a TD.
  22. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. It will be called West Orange-Stark II.
  23. HF will take its frustration out on the hapless cards. HF by 40+.
  24. I'm guessing it's because Jasper's chances of qualifying along with HF are a few percentage points higher than Silsbee qualifying with HF. Seems perfectly logical to me.
