  1. Enjoy it. I can't stop you from that! You beat Dayton without the only player who really hurt us against them - Green. But congrats! It's a big win for your program.
  2. In the spirit of kvillebawla, LC-M would spank Kville. He threw the ball away to avoid the sack? So the line sucks, not the QB?
  3. Weird. I remember saying that Dayton was the favorite, but that Lumberton definitely had a chance. In fact, here's the thread: [Hidden Content] And lookie - maverick actually AGREES with my post in the above link. Nice try. It might not have had district implications, but it certainly meant something. One day, if L-ton ever gets to a point where they actually win more than they lose on a regular basis, that EVERY game means SOMETHING. NO LOSS is acceptable. That's way down the road, though. Thanks, though, for falsely calling me out. Yes, I expected Dayton to win despite the injuries. I was off by two points.
  4. He's right, dude. The D is much quicker and better overall. I've seen them three of their four games this year and all of them last year. Minus one phantom TD, they're giving up 9 points per game (against Bay City, Dayton, LC-M and HF).
  5. Yeah, punkin, Jasper is in our district. I guess we'll find out if they'll beat us. Jasper's D is physical? I wouldn't doubt it. However, they ARE giving up more than 25 points per game (kville only scored 21). Good luck with that.
  6. If three passes weren't overthrown or dropped, we'd be looking at 55-7, and those 7 HF points were the result of a bad call.
  7. Hey, I'm obviously a WO-S fan. I was just saying that things would have been different with an all-state, D1 QB iinstead of a struggling WR trying to play QB.
  8. We're not judging them as people, just as a football team. Dayton is still a good team, but not what they were with Cody Green - not by a long shot. They will fight for a playoff spot, but likely will not win the district. I assumed this after the WO-S game and the injury in Week 1. Still, good luck! Go broncos! Go Mustangs!
  9. WO-S's D is fine. The offense is sputtering. But, looking at Kville's stats tonight, they were far from impressive. Two-of-eight passing for 55 yards? They barely outgained a rebuilding Jasper team yardage-wise. It will definitely be a tough game (this year), but WO-S should pull it out by a TD or two.
  10. The juggernaut offense that scored 21 points tonight against a team that gives up an average of 25 points? We've allowed an average of 11 points per game (10 if you don't count the non-td that counted tonight) against three 4A teams and a 3A team. HF averaged 28 PPG before tonight. Kville averages 28 PPG. I'm sure they'll have some success, but I certainly think our D is up to the challenge.
  11. We scored 34 tonight against a 2-2 team that allows an average of 19. You scored 21 against a 1-3 team that allows an average of 25. ha ha
  12. I don't think you can call it the upset of the year. Lumberton was undefeated, and Dayton is now 1-3. No way.
  13. UH... If there was a HUSH MOUTH bet, then I stand corrected. I just thought this was off-the-top-of-their-heads-BS-smack-talk. If the Bronco fans agreed to some sort of Hush bet, then it's time to shut up. My bad. I assumed this was just a thread started to randomly strut a win.
  14. I did give them props by saying "congrats." My issue is with the "two weeks of HUSH MOUTH" comment. When I heard the score on the radio, I was excited for Lumberton, until I read this goofy post rubbing it in the Bronc's faces. You fight a hard-fought game that goes down to the wire, and instead of being respectful, you rub it in their faces! Gripe at me all you want. Lumberton is no pushover, and they beat a CRIPPLED Dayton team by ONE POINT, and they decide to ridicule them. Classless. I give props to the Lumberton team for coming out with a district win, but I don't think it's time to strut when you've beaten a team that is missing their very best by one. I'm not so much hating on the raiders as I am standing up for the Broncos. I didn't say they were "that bad." I'm saying that Lumberton didn't exactly shut down Dayton in the middle of an undefeated romp through district. Dayton is HURTING.
  15. Yup. It's hard to feel too, too bad when you feel this rusty and win by almost four TDs.
  16. That's why I said "congrats." But the cockiness is silly if you really look at the situation. We (WO-S, a 3A team) beat them by 8 in week 1. Since then, they've lost their best player to a tragic injury and have only won 1 game. Had Green been out against us, I would have been TICKED if we'd only won by 8. It's a good win, but let's not start talking stuff like the initial post on this thread until we've at least secured our first playoff berth in school history. Otherwise, it's sorta silly. Shut Dayton down? They outgained you by 22 total yards.
  17. Tonight's less-than-spectacular performance was not the OC's fault. The calls tonight were fine. It was bad execution - overthrows, drops, fumbles. Then again, I will take ANY game where we play as ugly as we did tonight and win 34-7.
  18. Lumberton beat a 1-3 team (minus their best player) by one point. WOW!
  19. Congrats, raiders. I'd like to have seen a game with Dayton's stud QB healthy.
  20. Yeah, the HF QB fumbled at the 2 and it rolled out of the front corner of the end zone - ref shot his hands up for a TD :
  21. Whoa... And we have broken out the "any who." That HAS to be a first on a football thread!
  22. I wouldn't be all that shocked by LC over Central. Are we asking which would be most shocking, or which upset is most likely? If we're asking about the upset, I think the Bears have a shot.
  23. Lumberton certainly has a chance, but Dayton SHOULD win it.
