  1. Note to LCM: The home field advantage doesn't seem to be working, looking at recent records.
  2. True. We don't like LC as an entity. I won't lie. But that is just what makes us laugh about it in public rather than private.
  3. It's just funny. I like to laugh. Get over it, guys. If we changed our cry to WOJO now, what would you say?
  4. Never knew Cleveland had a bigtime RB. The Dayton QB committed verbally to TX A&M at the start of the season - and he's a junior. Doesn't really compare.
  5. Waitwaitwait... This makes it sound like you were a part of the college's success over those four great years. But you just said you played HS in 04. Am I misreading?
  6. BULLETIN: It seems the BOJO craze has really caught on, and it's beginning to spread. WO-S HC/AD Dan Hooks has announced that the WO-S Mustangs now have a rallying cry of their own - A NEW NICKNAME! The mascot, the Mustangs, will remain, but now the WO-S Mustangs will also be known as - MU-MERICA'S TEAM! This follows a press conference by Nederland head man Larry Neumann in which he revealed the long awaited Nederland rally cry: "N-E-D-S, NEDS! NEDS! NEDS!" Speculation abounds that the next big PR move will be by Port Neches-Groves, who is expected to re-name its defense. Reports are that officials are torn between "THE PEEL PURTAIN" and "THE PRECKING CREW."
  7. The one who committed to A&M at the beginning of his junior year? Yeah. We also shut him down and won the game. You played Cleveland. Cleveland, dude. P-I-T-I-F-U-L
  8. You call 166 yards on the ground to CLEVELAND impressive? :
  9. That's some impressive (and well-deserved) karma, balla. That's more than one negative karma hit per post! Maybe you should surf back and try to find some perspective. Then maybe you can start building it back toward even.
  10. Not cool, man. There are some subjects you just don't mess around with unless you're getting paid big money as a "shock" comic. Not funny. Even though I stood up for the pirates a few posts ago, I would - NO JOKE - take most of the kids I've seen compete in the Special Olympics over the schlubs I saw scrimmage WO-S two weeks ago. Those SO kids have more heart than anyone on your team. Back off.
  11. Ouch. Still - spoken like a man who wants his team to become champions.
  12. Uh oh.
  13. Wouldn't change the outcome, but maybe the score.
  14. With Salter, I think WO-S would win a reasonably close one. Without him, I don't see the bears making too much of a game of it.
  15. Then it would be a powder puff schedule. ;D
  16. I would never say they "snuck up on us." They may not have necessarily been the better team when they beat us (or Nederland), but they sure were on those nights.
  17. Heh. Remember when y'all predicted (again) that Dayton would crush us? Re... remember the part when I said, "Considering your success with predictions, I'll take it?" Mem... member what actually happened (again)? That was awesome.
  18. Vidor "snuck up on" y'all last year? Weird. I must have listened to a different game. The Vidor I heard outplayed Nederland and had more gas in the tank in the end.
  19. Probably the stupidest idea I've ever seen.
  20. Here would be WO-S's travel numbers for that district: To Silsbee - 40 miles To Jasper - 66 miles To Splendora - 101 miles To Cleveland - 91 miles To HJ - 44 miles To Bridge City - 7 miles That's a grand total of 349 miles between us and district away games. I realize that only about half would be away, but still - it's ridiculous. The current district is almost 100 fewer miles of travel. And it's not as bad for us as it is for teams like LC-M. Look at their district! How could they be excited to play any of those teams when they've got all of these familiar foes in their own backyards? I'm not worried about playing OF or HF. I'm worried about half of our games being against teams we have no connection with. District is supposed to be about familiar foes - deep-rooted "hatred." Splendora? Come on...
  21. I'm sorry, but I'm sick of all the whining about school size. In 2000, we went to the championship game as one of the smallest 4A schools in Texas. I realize it makes a difference in the size of the talent pool, but not enough for some wacky re-alignment like this one. That re-districting would leave us with Bridge City as our only reasonably close rival. Silsbee would be the next closest. That totally ruins what high school football is supposed to be about - playing your neighbors, your neighboring school, your neighboring town, etc. Cross-town rivalries could be squashed with this crap. WO-S just beat a school with almost double its enrollment for the second straight year. Get over this enrollment thing, UIL. The current system is fine.
  22. What are you suggesting? My first reaction is that you feel our students are only prepared for football, and that after high school, we're lost with no educational base upon which we can build. If you are not implying what I am inferring, then perhaps you should have been better taught to phrase your thoughts clearly. NOTE FOR LCM BRAINIACS: *There should be an apostrophe after the "s" in "kids." *"God" should be capitalized - regardless of beliefs. *"Successful" has only one "L." *"High school" should be two words. *"Like life in general" should be a part of the sentence it follows, preceded by a comma rather than a period. *The sentence, "Our kids god given abilities probably are more suited to helping them be succesfull after highschool football is over," has verb/object problems. It should be written "helping them them find success after," or "help them be successful (minus the "ing")."
  23. Poor balla. WO-S leaps way ahead of Kville. Now he has no one backing him. :'(
  24. Or like LC fans do against us every year from 95-06... and from 84-94. It's funny how you can remember fans leaving early from a blowout in a specific game - especially when its rare for you to be on the winning side of one. Right?
  25. Disappointment: WO-S coming out flat and sloppy in the first half. Surprise: WO-S dominating the second half on both sides of the ball without their best and most experienced player. Surprise and disappointment: The actions of one individual opposing coach during the melee.
