Not sure which RBs you're thinking of, but the current RB is a third-year starter (though he's split time with Earl Thomas occasionally).

Sville, if Kirbyville lost every game, balla would claim they were cheated, screwed or injured in EVERY one. Regardless how the games come out, no one will be satisfied, because balla will make excuses or disappear. He'll never admit that the other team was a better team. He only claims that about Carthage last year (despite total domination at WO-S), and that's just because none of their fans visit this site.

Dayton may very well win, but I think it will be closer than two TDs either way. WO-S looked dominating against BH, but obviously that's not a good judge as to how they'll do against a quality opponent like Dayton. I think if I was told we definitely were going to lose a game this year, I would expect it to be this one. However, I said the same thing last year.

That was last year - this is this year, the year you're gonna dominate 3A. YOu just got spanked by a 2A team. Maybe you should shut your "gap," especially since you claim to be #24, who gave up two big scores.

If anything, we lose as many kids to transfer as we gain - like Artis Ruben, who will be at LC this year. It's a matter of figuring out who has both the talent and the dedication and purging those who don't (especially those who don't have the dedication).

So, are you #24, like you claimed before? Don't duck this like you did these boards after the WO-S slaughter last year.

There were a few in the 80s that were bad (24-0, 47-9), but most of the more recent games have been really good games. However, the last three were shutouts (through the 99 season), and the last four times we played (96-99), we outscored the Eagles a combined 70-6, most of that coming in a 30-0 game in 97. That said, Newton is always a great game for us, because they never lay down or worry how much bigger your school is than theirs. They're probably either my favorite or second favorite (next to Jasper) team besides WO-S.

Actually, old dave has slipped over the last decade. His guys (he doesn't personally make the predictions) have been pretty far off as of late Nice Karma, balla. Not to mention your English.

Fine, balla - a significant record of losing. I don't know the records pre-1990, but I do know that from 1990 through last year (all records combined), Kville lost 56 percent of its games (that's more than half ). The records since 2002 have been reasonable - not spectacular, but not horrible. I'm not going to compare our record during that same stretch - or all time - but the point I made earlier stands.

There was only one turnover in the game - an INT thrown by Dayton. I don' think the offensive problems being fixed would have won the game for Dayton. Their D was unable to stop WO-S in the late stages, and the WO-S D was tough last year. Even if those problems were fixed, I don't see them putting up 26 plus. I know what they did to other teams, but none of those teams had our talent PLUS Cornel Thompson coaching last year.

Dayton had twice as many players last year, too - probably was even more outbalanced last year.

Is they? Very scary. I'll let everyone know. Now, will the Kirbyville D still be giving up an average of 21 points per game? If so, then their offensive output should be inconsequential.

WO-S lost two D1 players the year before as well, but two more stepped up. I'm expecting a similar step-up this year.

Maybe because Kville has been talking (mostly you) and has yet to back it up. Maybe it's because WO-S has a long tradition of winning and Kirbyville has a long tradition of losing. That may change this year, but your words ain't gonna do ANYTHING but make people root against them.
