  1. That's me ;Dtaunting balla with last year's score.
  2. I saw the statewide coaches poll (THSCA) on the all-star game and saw that we were ranked #8. No other local teams were in the 3A Top Ten. I didn't see any of the other classifications, though.
  3. LC-M will be better, but certainly not a "powerhouse." Nine starters back, which is about average, and better coaching in place. Still, they'll have to fight with a few other teams for that third spot behind Dayton and Central.
  4. Yup. And Williams was a stud in HS. Don't know about this game, but he was fun to watch at Central.
  5. If we must be weenies and take the poll down, then take it down. The point has been made. Oh, and: Don't you mean: "Obviously you're the one looking and sounding stupid"... ?
  6. Here are the predictions from the amazing CalPreps calculator, which pits year-specific teams against each other: at Alto (TX) [2006] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 34, [2006] Alto (TX) 24 at West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) [2006] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 35, [2006] Alto (TX) 21 at neutral site [2006] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 34, [2006] Alto (TX) 22 Just to show you how cool this site can be, here is its prediction on WO-S/Kville last year at WO-S: at West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) [2006] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 42, [2006] Kirbyville (TX) 17 Actual score? WO-S 46, Kville 16 Not bad!
  7. No matter where you went to school or what team you support, you have to appreciate the work that WOS87 has done. If you haven't been to the team histories forum, you've got to go there. It's a great tool, not just for pulling up actual numbers and statistics for any local team from any time, but also just for reminiscing on past games and glory. Even if you despise WO-S, if you appreciate the hard work this guy has done, hit him with one "applaud" karma point under his avatar.
  8. Number 24, huh. He's not on the Beaumont Enterprise roster from last year, and even most injured players are still on those rosters. I sure hope he is #24, because, otherwise, he's going to have some poor kid out there with a blinking light on his chest - at least for a couple of teams And if there isn't a number 24 on the field, then that speaks for itself. Even if his team manages to win, it'll be obvious who and what baller is. ;D Better make some plays, buddy.
  9. Only once. Jasper's record is 17-2 against you guys. The numbers don't lie. Flukes happen.
  10. It could very well be Garrett by the end of his senior year, but certainly you have to consider Kerry Franks, Jamal Warnell, Tim Feathers, Terrance Brown, and several others who escape my brain.
  11. 46-16
  12. Not only is he a "lockdown corner" (that we've never heard of), but he has enough clout to schedule teams - distant teams with no incentive to play his!
  13. Kvilleballa keeps shouting about how everyone is trying to make Kville look bad. Personally, I posted this because I thought he needed a reality check. Which of the choices makes them look worst on this board, judging by posts alone.
  14. WO-S by 7. Both teams return about the same number of players and both bring up talented JV players. It should be about like last year, with WO-S coming out on top in a close one.
  15. No, because you'll be hiding for a few weeks like you did last year. Are you not confident enough in your own skills to tell us your number? I'll assume that you don't have a number, or that you never get into the game. You know, it's okay to be the waterboy. Someone has to do it, and you're providing a valuable service to the team. I just hope the players don't know that you're running their mouths for them. I'll have to assume you're not a player unless you can hook us up with a number. Unless - of course - you're afraid the Stangs, Dawgs and Tigers might know that number too. But, then, a real playa wouldn't care. He would want them to bring it. ???
  16. How true. Baller, if you do play for Kville, PLEASE tell us your number. I have binoculars so that I can pick you out on the bench.
  17. Yeah, he's very good. He was the go-to guy on JV and probably should have been on varsity if we hadn't already had two D1 players at WR and another great receiver in Dennis last year.
  18. The really wild thing was that Silsbee had negative yards in that first game. I hate to say it, but after holding them under 0 yards in that first game, WO-S thought the first round would be a joke and were looking all the way ahead to a rematch with LaMarque.
  19. Mine would be a series of wins in one run - beating LaMarque, Friendswood and Calallen en route to the finals in 2000 despite being one of the smallest schools in 4A. Calallen was by far the greatest game I've ever seen at any level.
  20. WO-S/Calallen in the 2000 state semifinals! THE BEST! Action-packed but with great defense, and the winner (us ) went to state.
  21. Oops! Did the question say "has the best defense" or "might eventually have a great defense?" Kville gave up 25 points per game last year. They might be in the discussion next year if they turn it around, but certainly not yet.
  22. Didn't you have simple speed last year?
  23. Trick plays more than once a game = desperation
  24. Where to start? Obviously 3A isn't a cake walk, though y'all certainly were last year. There are some awesome teams in 3A. As far as "the most successful team in the area," wouldn't Newton be the most successful in 3A? Didn't they win like two or three titles in the last 10 years? If you're talking about all classifications, you might want to compare our record to Jasper's (no offense, dawgs). Better yet, just look at my sig line. I love Jasper, but we're 16-5 against them. They went to the finals in 2004 in 3A, we went in 2000 in 4A, one of four title games. Talk all you want, but it's hard for anyone to get under our skin really. No team in this area has a winning record against us. La Marque would be the closest.
  25. No, they share it with several other teams.
