  1. I'm glad you can at least enjoy the offseason. Rough once those claims start looking stupid, huh?
  2. Yep - the most dangerous four-loss, third-place-in-district team in Southeast Texas!
  3. Heck, if you guarantee we'll win every game this year but just by one point, I'll take it.
  4. I'm glad you're enjoying this. I had the same reaction when we played Kirbyville last year. I'm just saying - Hazelwood's stats weren't impressive last year compared with several other QBs in the area.
  5. Multiple formations aren't uncommon at all. Glad you guys have evolved. Welcome to modern football.
  6. 46-16 485 total yards to 196 total yards WO-S never punted or turned the ball over, scoring on every possession except the one that ended the half and kneeling the ball out. "Crushed"
  7. Cory Bell, WO-S DB This kid can lay the wood. He made quite a few plays last year after his family moved to the area from Los Angeles.
  8. Dude, I'm not from Silsbee. I'm from West Orange-Stark, who crushed you guys last year.
  9. Hazelwood looks like a fairly good QB, but the numbers last year weren't good enough for the hype he's been getting. Our QB last year threw for 25 TDs and just 5 interceptions, while Hazelwood had just 10 touchdowns - and also had 10 picks. Bevil completed 64 percent of his passes. Bevil wasn't touted as a "great" QB. Hazelwood, by contrast, completed only 50 percent of his passes. I think he's good enough to get the job done this season, but I don't see him as a potential superstar or as one of the top 10 QBs in the area. Not knocking the kid. I'd never call out a player. I think he's probably pretty good. But I do think that as Rhodes goes, so goes the team.
  10. Silsbee for what I know, and Jasper for what I don't know.
  11. LOL I think he means the fact that last year's game was reasonably close.
  12. I have no problem with you predicting kirbyville. I have a problem with your goofy Kville mate mouthing off AGAIN to teams that routinely whoop y'all like you stole something.
  13. If you insist... You mean the QB who had as many picks as TDs last year? Can I stop now?
  14. YUP! ;D I love how Kville is, in baller's mind, gonna be the "new power" based on recent success. They've lost four games in each of the last two years. We've only lost more than three games five times in the last 30 seasons, and those four-loss seasons are the ones we don't like to talk about. Kirbyville might turn the corner this year, but, at this point, the corner is still in front of them. Several of the other district teams can't even see the corner in the rear view anymore. The Cats wouldn't get nearly as much grief here if it wasn't for the fact that baller is talking so much more than they have proven.
  15. I'm afraid I can't disagree. Our OC is as bad as our other coaches are good - and that's saying something.
  16. The 3A numbers, if I'm correct, are like 415 to 949, right? Aren't the 4A numbers something like 950 to 1984? Seems like a bigger gap to me (about 500 as compared to about 1000). Besides 1A, 3A has the fewest schools competing, I believe.
  17. Well, it has happened. Kirbyville returns 14 starters, not 22. Last year, Vidor returned 20 starters and ended up with a worse record than the year before (2-5 in district). Some of WO-S's best years have been very young teams, and a few of the less-outstanding years have been teams with a lot of experience. I believe Kville will make the playoffs, but don't get too cocky, or it'll come back to bite ya.
  18. Sweet! Just make sure you don't go into hiding again after the game this year so that we can re-post this.
  19. Golly... multiple formations? We've never shut down a team that runs multiple formations before! *Turning sarcasm off* Yeah, it should be a fun game.
  20. The most annoying ones are those that happen 20 yards away from the ball.
  21. From "no doubt" to "hope so?" Hmmm... I see what's going on in that little head of yours. ;D
  22. WO-S has always scheduled killer pre-district schedules, and it's always been beneficial.
  23. Great young QB coming in at WO-S named Hypolite, and the guy who steps up at wide receiver will likely be Chase Adams, who'll join Ronnie Dennis, a starter last year. Also, Franks' brother, Tre, will be playing, and is supposedly the "most talented" among the brothers (Kerry, Jacoby, Tre). Considering the other two are at A&M and Texas Tech, that bodes well. Chase, Hypolite and Franks come up from the 9-0 JV team.
  24. Yeah, I'm the dumb one in this conversation. Aren't you the one who told someone that they "be dry hating?" Awesome. I'm glad you have the check. If it turns out that they can, in fact, cash it, then you can use the "cash" to pay the service fees for the huge bounced check you floated last year.
