  1. Why would he redshirt? Well, with experienced guys locked into the position this year, it will give him more time to play in the future.
  2. I'll agree with maybe three wins. I also agree that when I think of football in our area, Lumberton is like 30th on the list before I name them.
  3. THERE is the reason you guys can't win! You're not starting enough people! Put two more on the field and have 11 like the other team!
  4. Haven't you lost enough bets w/ the WO-S faithful?
  5. But Jody, you said this was BC's year to win the district! Oh... wait... I forget that you admittedly talk out of your @#s!
  6. generally, Bay City is a state contender in 4A. Vidor is not. St. Pius 56 Vidor 3
  7. I don't think Shakespeare was "lame and gay." I just think his (or whoever wrote under the name's) wording was poetic but very cumbersome to read. I've read my fair share, but I'm just not one of those guys. I'm glad to hear that most folks at lcm don't get the "BOJO" thing, and thanks for clearing up its meaning. Still... lame and gay.
  8. I'm way ahead of ya. I've been doing it professionally for about eight years, so I appreciate the compliment (sarcastic or not). I'm not a fan of Shakespeare, though. Shakespearean writing is pretty tedious to wade through. Call me a blasphemist but I've been there, done that, and I'm done with it. My best work to date: "lame and gay." I'm actually considering that for the title of a book chronicling the history of lcm football. Relax, bear fans. I'm kidding. It will be called BOJO BAJIC.
  9. I thought that this thread title was "Don't sell athletic shorts." Sorry. But it is a wise word to heed.
  10. I saw a "The Hit List" shirt in the Northway Market Basket a few weeks ago. It was hilarious. We've had four 10-0 seasons since that one, though, so I guess it's hard for us to really identify.
  11. Thank you for recognizing my eloquence. Typically, the aesthetics of the written word are criminally overlooked in the message board community. I toyed with the words insipid, mindless and banal, but none of those really had kick. I wanted something short and punchy. I felt that "lame and gay" had the perfect rhythm. I'm thankful that someone with a true appreciation for the beauty of the English language was able to stumble across my phrasing and give me validation for my hours of toil. Thanks!
  12. Look, support whoever you want, but the "BOJO" thing is both lame and gay. I'm sorry. Odessa Permian had "MOJO," but Odessa Permian was a legendarily good team. The bears are a traditionally very bad team. MOJO was OP's way of explaining the magic that just seemed to push them past other teams. it was their mystique. There is no "magic" or "mystique" behind LC-M. It's a very lame ripoff. No offense, but if the LC-M fans are chanting it during a game, it is going to get drowned out by the roar of laughter from the opposing side.
  13. It's something like Bozo, but different (not much).
  14. I'm going w/ Jasper here. BH showed me nothing.
  15. Is this a game both teams get hyped for? Yes. Is it a "rivalry?" No. To be a "rivalry," both teams have to win occasionally - more than every 12 to 13 meetings. WO-S by 21.
  16. The chances of it happening this year are very, very slim to none. Who knows about next year? If they beat all of the weaker teams this year and upset one of the favorites, then I'm sure it's a possibility. Maybe they'll shock us all and get in this year, but I'd bet just about anything against it. With both Ned and PN-G looking fairly strong in Houston, Dayton looking like a contender, Central ready to defend its title... it will be the shock of the year. Depending on how they look this year, anything can happen in 07. Just remember - last year was Vidor's year to "turn it around." They had 10 starters back on each side of the ball and still made no progress. You never can tell. Turning around a (no offense) terrible program is a heck of a challenge.
  17. LOL... Or look at the WO-S and Jasper results and say the opposite...
  18. They really don't have to accept not getting a playoff spot. It just won't happen. Good luck with that.
  19. Wharton=weakton
  20. Thomas is a very mobile QB. He's in the running for best in the district.
  21. As the new guys, surely it takes more than one loss to chase the Dayton posters off of the board. Where are you guys? I thought it was a pretty decent game last night.
  22. Dayton was pretty good, but WO-S definitely dominated the final quarter and a half. Once the Stangs woke up, it was no contest. Good luck to Dayton this year.
  23. WOW! What a statement by the Mustang team!
  24. Dugat was pretty good tonight, but from this one look, "great" doesn't fit. He wasn't a "difference maker" in the game. Dayton was scrappy, though. Aren't you tired of losing by now, Jody?
  25. Barber's Hill was a shock.
