  1. The feelings WO-S fans harbor toward the folks in north Orange is all grounded in the underhanded little backstabbing that took place in 92. No crying, just facts. In fact, we have no reason to cry. We missed one playoff berth. Then we picked right back up. What about the other guys? They just lost to a team that was 1-9 last year, and no one is that surprised. Kaaaaaaaaaaarma.
  2. Wow. I thought this would be a sure-fire win for ANYONE. CC is not a dream team.
  3.
  4. With Earl and Depauldrick splitting time for WO-S, neither will have monster numbers after one game. I hope I'm wrong. They should at least combine for some sweet stats.
  5. But they can't stick with one over in bear country. It seems like they change every single year. One year it's "Bears" on the helmet, then it's a picture of a bear, then it's the descending LCM. Eventually, they'll go back to the Michigan helmets, which would actually be better than the more recent ones. I don't think we can stick the bears in there until they settle on a design.
  6. What do you mean by "led the district?" Ozen's Chris Royal had 230 more yards and almost three times as many TDs. Nederland's Butler also outgained in both categories. Are you just talking about receptions?
  7. Yeah, I would try to forget that game if I were you, too.
  8. Really? I would have sworn that THIS post (talking about the WO-S Dairy Queen) was deleted from this very forum a little while back. The author was Jody:
  9. From one idiot to another, fine. By the way, it's "concede." I guess we at least can see where we each are on the relative idiocy scale. Good luck to BH. It won't help. It'll just be a slightly less looooong year.
  10. 33-7 (with our second stringers playing much of the game )
  11. Well, Jody, you can't really pass judgement on the Vidor guy because you were banned from the WO-S board for making similar "racially offensive" remarks. Yes, you were.
  12. I know... that's why I said he's an embarrassment.
  13. This was posted after fans complained about play selection. They are VERY anti-WOS (the mods), and attitudes like the one in this post (which was posted by the board administrator) set back Vidor 20 years:
  14. Amazing... we must have two first-string QBs, as we rotated between #4 and #3 all night - from the first series to the second. Also, our best RB only carried a few times (#12), as #24 Garrett carried the bulk of the load from the get-go - including the first series. It just LOOKED like a first string against a second or third string out there.
  15. Yeah... You're a team that hasn't made the playoffs once in your 50-plus year history, but you beat a pretty lousy team in a scrimmage. MUCH RESPECT!
  16. WO-S made it to state in 4A with 28 players on the roster. It can be done. On another topic, WO-S star and UT commit Earl Thomas had a stellar night (playing just 2 and a half quarters) with these stats: 56 yards on two carries four receptions for 151 yards I'm glad Earl decided to come BACK to WO-S after that one year as a (shudder) bear.
  17. WOW! Gulf Shores - a team whose school is set into a shopping mall - beat Lumberton last year. Lumberton is consistently the worst team in this "overrated" 4A district. This does not bode well for the Eagles. Good luck, guys.
  18. 33-7
  19. Well, the fact that he's 5'10 doesn't help his stock as a college QB. If he were taller, I'd put him up there w/ Young. I had the chance to see Young play in HS and their styles were very similar. In college, he'll be much more of a weapon catching the ball, returning kicks and defending the pass.
  20. You're in our prayers as well. I'm sure all will turn out fine.
  21. I was talking about the crappy eagles That's sort of catchy actually - The Barber's Hill Fightin' Crappy Eagles
  22. The only reason that the WO-S folks are making a big deal over the BH scrimmage is that BH folks had played it up quite a bit when the schedules came out - that it would be our "downfall" and that they would finally be able to claim superiority. Funny, huh? I don't think the scrimmage meant a lot, but it did show how much stronger we are than they at this point (and overall... past, present and eternal future ). No, scrimmage scores don't mean anything. If you get blown out in a four-quarter scrimmage, it's probably bad. If you have a great night, it's okay but nothing to hang a hat on. Like I said - the only reason we've been dogging Jody and Co. is because we've heard two years worth of "we're better," including a heavy dose of "wait until the scrimmage." I love it.
  23. Just change the last digit on the year and keep the score, baby. No difference
  24. If we're overrated, then BH is one of the worst teams in the state. Poor Jody. No credibility left, he's still holding on to that shred of hate.
