  1. I think the nod has to go to PN-G/Nederland.
  2. When one team wins two games over 23 years, it's not a "rivalry."
  3. Yeah, they did... eight years ago  Since then, it's been one-sided. Before then it was pretty one-sided too. That same year, we played them in the regular season and held them to negative yards in a wet, sloppy game.
  4. They already do: Kerry Franks, WR Not to mention past A&M/WO-S (and Cowboys) stars Kevin Smith and Chris Cole (Cole played for Denver, actually).
  5. With multiple links on every board even somewhat resembling a sports board leading folks here, I don't know how ya did it
  6. The stats on his son for this year, as I found them, were: 228-391-10 for 3,410 yards, 35 TDs; 185 carries, 852 yards, 15 TDs rushing.
  7. Jody running through Orange wearing ONLY a WO-S sucks t-shirt. There goes a man proclaiming our shortcomings and showing us his.
  8. I really think WO-S's best player this year might be RB Depauldrick Garrett.
  9. WO-S can also beat Kirbyville.
  10. Jacoby is Kerry's brother. I don't think Paul and Earl are directly related, but I'm not positive. Earl has been our starting RB for the last two years.
  11. Both Ned and PN-G have great followings, but neither has sold out our visitors' side in quite a few meetings. In fact, in our last game against each, almost an entire section was open. PN-G would probably get my vote, though.
  12. My money's still on the Stangs 8)
  13. Ummm... Look at the BH playoff history. It's pretty much a standard one or no wins and out. We were in the semis this year. Check out BH's history, in which they have won more than one playoff game only two times in the last 30 years: 2005: lost in round 2 2004: lost in round 2 2003: ?? 2002: lost in round 1 2001: lost in round 2 2000: lost in round 2 1999: lost in round 3 1998: no playoffs? 1997: no playoffs? 1996: no playoffs? 1995: no playoffs? 1994: no playoffs? 1993: no playoffs? 1992: lost in round 1 1991: no playoffs? 1990: no playoffs? 1989: lost in round 1 1988: lost in round 1 1987: lost in round 1 1986: no playoffs? 1985: no playoffs? 1984: no playoffs? 1983: no playoffs? 1982: no playoffs? 1981: lost in round 2 1980: lost in round 1 1979: lost in round 1 1978: no playoffs? 1977: no playoffs? 1976: 1A state champs
  14. "We beat ourselves" is the traditional cry of the loser. Huffman beat us in 04. Kirbyville beat you in 04 and 05. Period.
  15. Jody, as you so eloquently put it, "That's funny stuff right there. I don't care who you are - that's funny." I'm still laughing! *cough*kirbyville*cough*twice*cough*
  16. You know, SFA, I can see your issues with him being old and under 500 at his last assignment. Why did you feel the need to throw "white" in there? If he's a "bad coach," does his skin color matter? If a white person had said that about a new black coach, the word "racist" would be spreading across this thread like wildfire. Does his race REALLY matter? Hooks at WO-S has done FINE.
  17. We had one Katrina evacuee on the team. Being that we're the closest school to the Louisiana border, I'd say that is reasonable. Most schools had at least that many. The first grade comment was an analogy (look it up) comparing your love of WO-S to a first grader's crush on a girl (most boys like girls... no offense, Jody... I realize that in Mont Belvieu you take whatever you can get - or catch... which is why the BH roster has lots of names like "Porky" Williams, Old Paint Ross and Sheepy McGee). I saw Jody's pic on the 3ADL, and I'm not so sure there's not a little goat in his blood.
  18. The TEAM knows that they have to take every game seriously. I don't know of any case in which a fan's (or former player's) attitude has caught up with the team on the field.
  19. There is nothing to say about BH, GoStangs. As far as Jody goes, he LOVES to dog anything to do with WO-S. It's a lot like the little boy who picks on the little girl in first grade because he has a crush on her. Jody has a BIGTIME WO-S fetish that he doesn't know how to deal with. I know, though, that he's holding out hope that BH can do something this year without a titan like Kirbyville in the way. Last year, BH's chances to get anywhere were ZERO. This year, I'd say they're a HUNDRED TIMES that.
  20. We're not #1 in wins, but in winning percentage.
  21. Yes, but we were arguing the speed point. That is not their strong suit considering the competition.
  22. Not the kind that BC has. We just don't have it at WO-S, Jasper and Silsbee. We might as well give up.
  23. We had quite a few graduate this year. Until this year, we had (Div. I only): Gayron Allen, Oklahoma Jeff Thibodeaux, Tulsa Michael Ledet, Tulsa Jermaine Hope, Tulsa Kerry Franks, Texas A&M Joey Byerly, North Texas Eric Enard, University of Texas Gayron, Michael, Jermaine and Eric have graduated, I think. Thib might have one more year at Tulsa, Byerly MIGHT start at QB at NT and Franks has done well so far as an Aggie. Next year we'll add Beasley at UT and White at UH.
  24. Oh, gosh. That's bad news. Speed is always in such short supply at schools like WO-S and Jasper. How will we compensate with our slothlike players?
  25. Not this last year, but they sure did beat everyone they played out of your district - including district champs Central!
