So after reading all this, what keeps coming up is BH is looking for a coach that 1. has rings 2. runs Slot-T that can’t be that big of a list?

As a Sterling fan I know we would love to make the playoffs and play meaningful games... TW did that at BH has been competitive and won a lot of games got to give him props there. Whoever gets this job if they can wait could have success. the population is growing like crazy in MB. They are having to build two new intermediate schools and adding on to the high school. It’s only going to continue to grow and with growth hopefully comes some more athletes.

The only chance number four from this district has of stopping FBM is a CoVID outbreak there or if Harris County and Fort Bend county shutdown again. Other than that it will be one and done.

So is it better to schedule two tough games like BH did and be 0-2 heading into district (but ideally they learned and grew from these close games) or is it better to schedule two easy games and be 2-0 headed into district (but realistically haven’t been challenged, but you have momentum) ? ??? I can see both sides.

DCTF has it going 1. Friendswood 2. Beaumont United 3. La Porte 4. Port Arthur Memorial 5. GCM 6. RSS 7. Baytown Lee 8. Galveston Ball I would flip PAM and La Porte and also flip RSS and GCM but overall I think it’s a decent prediction. Thoughts?

So you could practice against yourself Monday through Thursday and scrimmage yourself on Friday until the state championship game if you wanted to.

Right but is that a actual rule or just how it’s always been done.

Is there a uil rule that once you lose or don’t make playoffs you have to stop practicing. Could theoretically a school have kept practicing with Jv and Freshmen till the state championship games and got that extra work? I know many go to basketball etc just thinking if you are a struggling/rebuilding program this could help develop for the next year.

got ya, I'm used to that, lol going to a Baytown sterling game is the same thing, more band parents and cheer parents than football parents. My Son graduated and I haven't been back but I have heard sterling hasn't changed under toomer.

Why didn’t it feel like a playoff game? Did BH fans not show up?
