In my opinion, they should have started Jones long ago as well. That limits opportunities for him to refine his game and for scouts to get a look at him. Memorial has so many guys with talent that they can play the game of stuffing talent on the bench until they are SRs. Myself, I am a play the best guy/unit type of fellow.

For those who were bringing the point up about PNG JV being bad, hell it was bad. However their 10th grade QB was on the Varsity leading them in to the playoffs. With RJ on JV, that Vidor JV Vidor teams gets waxed just like the varsity did last year, so I have to see it to believe it. That's all I got to say about that ( in my Forest Gump voice)

I was wondering what happened to him. Maybe he is more of an athlete as opposed to pure QB. Ned will find a position for him.

I agree that the season looks different without my brother for PNG but as far as the Vidor JV love, I'll believe it when I see it on the varisity level on a consistent basis. They are coached well for what they do, but again I got to see it and see it consistently. Other than that, I have no disagreement

I dont see Vidor beating PNG unless those guys coming up are substantially better, and the guys last year on O were pretty good but I hear ya. Vidors D has nothing to fear, IMO.

Now if you guys are like me you can't get enough football. There is so much to be excited for the coming season. I'm a 22-5a fan and follower so that is the one I know most personally. Feel free to comment on other districts and other classification. Here I go, Ill list the teams most likely to win the district then pick a winner. PAM- This may very well be the most talented offensive unit that teams have had to face in a while. WIth Ketha Jones running the show, I anticipate PAM to either lead or be near the top of the district in rushing. No team in district stopped Elijah Hines last year. Under Ketha's direction, the offense should be all clyinders..... if the coach doesnt get in the way. Defense speed will be good still even minus KJ. PNG- Shug's health will go a long way in this. If he is able to remain healthy with his workload, the Indians easily go three rounds deep if not more. If not, the season takes an entire different perspective. Offense will be improved but will the defense after losing SR studs? Even with guys like Lejeune speedy teams were able to take advantage. (PAM, College Station) IF the defense, and this is a big IF, can perform on a high level consistently and in big spots, the district WILL go through PNG Vidor-One hell of a season but can they repeat it.A couple of their rushing studs have now graduated. How will that affect the ground game. If the offense slows down will their defense be able to compensate as they struggled with big plays against the better district teams Nederland- New coach, same business. I expect the other black and gold to return to competing for a DC. Nederland has talent and is well coached. Anytime you have the kind of coaching consistency for that many years you create a culture. I expect them to be back, but still lose to PNG lol Central- not much to say. We all know Central has talent comparable to nearly anywhere in the state. The question is can they put together a staff capable of harvesting their gold mine? District Winner- Unless Roschon is able to produce otherwordly numbers that day and the D holds Elijah and Ketha, PAM SHOULD win this. Anything goes though, and I would never count out #2 to come back and win a game. So with things as they are in theory, I think PAM wins district by 1 game over PNG. 1.PAM 2.PNG 3.Nederland 4.Vidor* This was very difficult to pick. I wanted to place Central there but I don't know if I cant count on their consistency.

My personal favorite were the all white w the grey helmets. This should be what the coaches and kids want though. No reason to complain about anything with all the success on the field this past season.

Here in New Orleans, LA the next day after inauaguration, thousands marched peacefully as they did in most places. No damage. So was Austin, Texas, NYC. and California. There you go, that was easy. Before that here in New Orleans, the left organized a protest against community violence when a football player was gunned down. There goes another one. Boom. Done. What you are referring to I believe is what happened in downtown D.C. when a few people broke windows, set a fire, and attacked a limo. Its funny how you generalize those 10-15 idiots to the entire march. Some places had thousands of people marching peacefully. But I guess you ignore that because it doesn't help your point right. I didn't appreciate you equating kneeling to rioting or disrespecting people when nearly every person who does it says that are protesting social injustice, not the military. How would protesting the military accomplish anything or change laws anyway? That is a stupid idea and statement in itself. No one should riot. To be American is to stand up for what you believe in, even if those around you cant see the big picture.

I dont want to wager anything because I dont support riots. That would be GREAT if no one ever rioted, points could be made quicker. MY POINT point was you said that all people in the streets protesting are trash when at this very moment there are Republicans protesting because they believe they support a noble cause just like the other side believes their cause is noble. To protest what we think is wrong makes us Americans. Have you ever heard of the Boston tea party? The American Revolution? The Civil War? The Southern Secession? The Civil Rights Movement? The Womens Suffrage Movement? Would you want to wager if any of those were peaceful?

Yeah UT his dream school, he has tweeted about it and his room looks like a UT fan's dream. That offer was special. Anything can happen though in the next couple of years with college visits. I and my Dad always tell him to keep as many doors open as possible though. I want to see how out of state schools try to pry him away from the State now.

I know my brother is on some elite SETX team. Grant Gunnel the other 2019 "stud" qb from St. Pius (TAPPS) was on it with him until his Dad pulled him for fear of competition with my brother, only for him to be placed on another team, throw 2 pick 6s, and get promptly whooped by a Georgia squad.
