Eagle 7 don't be bitter. Barbers Hill fans get on here and boast on how good they are and how if they are not ranked first it is a conspiracy against them. Well when something like last night happens a few will poke fun. EVERYBODY know that Barbers Hill is good they are just having a liitle fun with you. Be thick skined and take the jab and when BH comes back and wins the series you can laugh another week. That being said, what did happen? were all the errors made in one inning or what?

Elysian Fields in two games. Kountze will battle but I think EF is going to be too much for Kountze to handle. Pullin for Kountze (showen some 24-2A love) but if I had to put money on it I'd go with EF.

Woodville backed into the playoffs! That being said they have more playoff experience than Kountze does. I will be pulling for 24-2A, so best of luck Kountze!!

I saw where Garrison beat Troup 7-3. SO Buna will play the winner of Centerville and Garrison.

That is news to us. I hope he is ok! I would bet he will be on the hill when Buna takes the field. If he was hurt for the playoffs then we would have heard about it by now!

Shelbyville has to forfeit ALL games illegal player played in. So that should put Woodville in. Woodville will play either Kountze or East Chambers. If Kountze wins or a loss by East Chambers they Kountze will be the second place finisher in 24-2A and will play Woodville. If Kountze loses and East Chambers wins then E-C will play Woodville.

Buna played HJ this year and HJ won 6-1. So Buna not hanging with Hj is hardly the case. Buna should be the underdog but don't take them lightly because they can play this game very well. Buna also beat HF and Silsbee this year. We lost to Jasper 4-1 and scrimmaged Of and K'ville which Buna won both. Buna also scrimmaged BC and yes Bc handled us pretty well. So other than WO-S we played the entire district. So let them play the game and we will see how it works out.

If it is a three way tie. All three flip a coin and odd man out is in the playoffs. The remaining two play and the loser is out. The winner of the first game plays the odd man out for the 2nd place playoff spot. The second game winner is 2nd place and loser is 3rd.

Since they get a bye in the first round. Are you saying they will lose their first series that they play? IN baseball that can always happen but I feel thay since they only lost two starters from last year and went 4 rounds deep last year that they know how important it is and will not lose the first round that they play. It looks like Buna will play Garrison or Centerville winner. Best of luck your team pirate3.

E-C has one game left with Deweyville Kountze Has Warren and Anahuac Deweyville has Hardin and E-C Hardin has Deweyville and Warren E-C 6-5 Kountze 6-4 Deweyville 4-6 Hardin 5-5 If Deweyville wins out they will be 6-6 and E-C will be 6-6 Hardin loses to Deweyville and beats Warren they are 6-6 If Kountze wins one of their last 2 they are second, and Deweyville, Hardin and E-C will be tied for third.

Girls doubles: Kristen Hickerson & Cordova Aranda took first at district. Lynae Hughes & Shelby Cato took second at district. Both teams advance to regionals. Mixed doubles: Jake Talmedge & Jordan Bates took first at district. Kevin Darling & Haylee Manchek took second at district. Both teams advance to regionals. Good luck to everyone!

East Chambers is in the best spot with a one game lead and the only one with a bye left. Deweyville has the hardest path with having to play all other 3 teams in the running with two on the road. but, Deweyville can control their own destiny because if they win out they are in. Why are people using Buna as the measuring stick? Both teams played Buna well but if you remember last meeting between these two it was a blow out of runs by both teams. Should be a little less scoring and a hard fought game. Best of luck to both teams but I'll go with E-C in a close one.

Good win Cougars!! You found a way to win when you did not play your best. No disrespect to E-C. E-C play a great game and gave Buna all they wanted and almost broke up the goal of an undefeated district record. These type of games only make you stronger and ready for the playoffs. E-C, best of luck in the playoffs. Keep up the great job your doing and everyone can see that 24-2A is not a pushover district and we can ALL make some noise in the playoffs.

A tornado hit Buna's Baseball Field Friday and destroyed fence and a batting cage.Looks like the Green Monster in center field is gone. Buna has a game today vs East Chambers. Maintance is tring to get a chain link fence up by game time. Also a portable batting cage was picked up a thrown about 250 ft and destroyed. The diamond will look ALOT different with that large green fence in center.

Does that loss eliminate Newton from the play offs?

First off CUPCAKE theword is spelled EQUAL. Buna is now 19-1 in the last twenty games so I'd say they are elite. Kountze played well but last time they met Buna won 10-1 and I did not here anyone say that Kountze was that bad. I think Kountze is the second best team in the district. Buna is getting everyones A game and so far have passed all test. Again best of luck in the play offs.

The kid from Kountze pitched a heck of a game. Buna hit about 12 balls hit that Kountze made plays on. I think each team had 4 hits. Kountze scored in the first inning and Buna scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a 2 run homerun. Buna had a runner on first in the bottom of the 6th with no outs and Coach T called a hit and run. The buna hitter hit a line drive up the middle and the Kountze second baseman, while going to cover the bag, ended up catching the line drive and forced the runner at first. Buna's next hitter, with two outs, got a base hit and then Baxter hit a two run bomb. Hillin struck out the side in the 7th and Buna won 2-1. Great Ball game. Hats off to Kountze for a great game and best of luck to them in the playoffs.
