They lost to Wall 4-6 4-6 after crushed spirits from losing so closely to Mason and then hearing that even if we won we couldn't get a playback for 2nd. I guess they just didn't care to win because the Wall team didn't look tough at all.

Yea I bet it would be a good match to watch because I heard that Tippett and Atkinson only lost 6-8 to Mason at team tennis this year and Mason won first. What other 2A schools in regionals or state have a good boys doubles team?

If they played doubles could they beat Tippett and Atkinson of kirbyville? ???

OK there aeropro 7, just because someone doesn't have the resources to play USTA doesn't mean that they can't hold their own against USTA players.

Word and Andrews will challenge who? At regional team tennis the competition was sommerville. where are Word and Andrews from?

K-ville's Shana Landry got first in girl's A single's K-ville's Marcia Monk and Mackenzie Malone got first in girl's A doubles, K-ville's Allen Jordan and Dakota Grabel got second in boy's B doubles, K-ville's Lane Tippett and Cole Atkinson got first in boy's A doubles. Way to go K-Ville!!!

alright Lefty but I think you need a handycap for your age. How about say ....30-love. Just kidding.

Most Champs and Supers are graduating or will graduate in the next two years. I don't know about 4a but 3a has gone down a lot in three years. 2a has no one. But there are a lot of good players out there who don't play USTA that could hold their own against the Champs and Supers of this area.

Besides USTA there might be some intramural leages in Beaumont.

No K-ville's Tippett And Atkinson lost to lost to Nederland 3-6 5-7. They played shorts sets starting at 2 all. It was a good match, they just lost too many points in the beggining and the match was too short to catch back up. It was mostly a serving match. K-ville had power serves and Nederland had crazy kick serves. But overall good match.

I certainly hope so she has been working hard

I'm not real sure. She said that we would see them at regionals. It could've been Henderson maybe again I'm not real sure.

This arguing is pointless. > It is almost impossible to rank local tennis teams fairly unless you just had a local team tennis tournament or something like that because there are so many factors that you have to take into account. I mean just because your a super champ doesn't mean that your entire team can cream someone else's. Then you also have to take into account the people that can't afford to play USTA. I know some people who haven't played but maybe one or two USTA tournaments because they can't afford to travel all over the state of Texas so therefore they don't have the "rank" of Champ or Superchamp but I bet they could give them a run for thier money. On top of that there is also a limited number of coaches outside of Beaumont and Houston area that some players can't afford. So in the end it's all about determination. And I didn't read anything about Brentwoods girls team. You can't win with just three good boys, you have to take into account the WHOLE team both boys and girls. Tennis has too much politics and too many "bigheads", whatever happened to people playing for fun. ???

Our coaches have talked to some of the other coaches in our region and they said that there were about 2 or 3 champs or superchamps out there in 2A regionals and only 1 good doubles team. But I think that Tippett and Atkinson have a better chance playing doubles again.

Well about three or four years ago when Salina was a junior and senior and P.J. Delaune, Kyle Bell, Kyle Cofy, and Conner Fuller were still in school the boys team was strong but they weren't able to hang very well with Matt and Jordan Deaver or with very many of the region teams. Bcause regionals is a whole nother story, but yes K-ville dominates its district.

I think that Tippett and Atkinson are going to play doubles at district unless it is definate that they can go to state in singles or at least that's what they agreed on yesterday. They just want to get as far as possible. but who knows

yea it's hard to tell because for all we know there could a superchamp that could have just moved or a freshman that's played since birth. lol
