I enjoyed talking to the Brenham fans before the game. A really pleasant group. Wish we were in the same district.

It’s a breath of fresh air to have a good defense.  Brenham qb is seeing ghosts. 

PAM is great. I’m rooting for them all 4 quarters. But they won’t beat Longview. I think Longview by 21. But I hope I’m wrong.

Crazy game.  We had three games in a row that year that had very stressful endings.  We are decent I guess.  Talent pool is way down compared to the onslaught of talent that went on for about 15 years or more.  Coach West is gone, then they hired some guy that really hurt the program the two years he was there.  The jury is still out on their new guy.  I can say one thing.  They do seem like they are more disciplined and in better shape than they have been.  We always have had great speed.  Size is an issue right now.  I see PNG winning this game.  Hate to say it, but that last coach set us back.  Good luck

Brenham was legit 09-10 for sure, but Brenham is always good. Even down, Brenham is solid. I see a toss up. Depends which team shows up and how the ball bounces. It will be awesome. And I have to say the Brenham green looks good. I wish we’d start putting each other on the preseason.

I agree.  PN-GISD and PAISD need to communicate and coordinate.  Great opportunity for a NRG doubleheader.  I hope both teams win after Thanksgiving so they can have another shot at making that happen.  SETX would buy some tickets and rally for those two schools...not just PN, G, and PA...it would be Ned, BC, WOS, Beaumont, and other surrounding schools.  Missed a good opportunity for this upcoming week.  Need to make it happen the following week.  Go Indians.  Go Titans.

Missed opportunity. SeTx would show up hard core for those games. It would have been special.

Have to play mistake free. We dodged real chances at losing against Nederland, Dayton, and lbj and Montgomery. Brenham will jump on  mistakes the way they did against Dayton. If we come out and play tight defense we can create a real chance for ourselves 

Chance for revenge for the 2009 loss. Excited for this game.

How much time is left 

In defense of Barrow, most coaches have a down year here and there. Next year and the year after Nederland is going to tear into people and we’ll be saying what a good job Barrow is doing. We’re talking about high school kids. It’s not always obvious what causes things to go down in a single season. If it was 2-8 every year the arrow points more to Barrow. But a single season can’t define him. Nederland will be fine.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Jasper and Silsbee meet in the playoffs

How is Montgomery in playoffs if they 3-7? 

Woodville doesn’t get respect because no one notices Woodville. Woodville doesn’t get disliked either. Woodville doesn’t inspire any opinions from anyone. Woodville is the candy corn of SETX football. Someone might not hate candy corn, but they’re also not asking “Who forgot to buy candy corn?” if there’s no candy corn at the party. Be more interesting.

After last week it’s clear that Nederland has more to them than they’ve been able to show this season. I think they show up with momentum and shock TC. 

If Nederland wins, does TC miss playoffs, or does Santa Fe also have to win? 

If Dayton plays mistake free, they have the offense to keep it interesting. I think they have a slightly better offense than PnG , not just statistically but in terms of what they have in the toolbox. They can move the ball all over the field and give FBM trouble. And Dayton’s defense is “pretty” good.  Not great. But if they can get some turnovers get a few 3 and outs, they can keep it close 

If Indian D gives up more than 14 , even in garbage time, I’m going to be a little worried.

I think this game ends up being a turning point for the Nederland team. All those young guys are going to be a lot better next year.
