  1. Is there a list of all-time game results for Nederland somewhere available to the public? I’ve been looking.
  2. Let’s get it started. I’ll take PNG, but it sounds like West Orange is better than last year. Should be a fun game.
  3. United has some serious size. But it’s a really, really bad coaching product.
  4. I don’t know who BU “should” be playing this week. They’re playing PNG. Memorial was tough and good for us in a lot of ways. Big, fast, physical. We made too many mistakes. Hopefully, we learned important lessons from it. I expect to see offensive and QB improvement from PNG, and the defense will build on their good experience and performance last week. I’ll take PNG by two scores.
  5. Png has an offense problem. I miss Adams as a utility player.
  6. Both defenses playing well. Both offenses just getting what they can.
  7. That’s the png stream. I think memorial has historically had a really high quality stream. I don’t know if they do it still.
  8. Dumb question: what time do the gates open? I’m thinking 6:00.
  9. PA should be favored, but this PNG team has the potential to be nasty. Strong, disciplined, and big. PA is stacked. Setting aside the fact I’m rooting for PNG, PA should win in a toss up. In a tight game, I’d expect PA to have a few more chances at the end zone. All that being said, if PA gives us any windows, PNG has the team to bust through them.
  10. I’m thinking 28-21 or 21-14 if it’s a lower scoring game.
  11. Did PAM have a scrimmage this week?
  12. LCM only scored twice to my knowledge, but I could have missed one.
  13. I had no tears. My team played at AT&T last year. Just wishing the Tigers the best.
  14. I think PNG ended up with three touchdowns and a field goal. LCM, two touchdowns. Both teams looked pretty sharp, with advantage to png on both sides of the ball. Png defensive and offensive lines are huge, physical, and look game-ready. LCM largely didn’t move the ball against PNG’s 1s, but their passing and run game opened up in the second half. Both teams’ qbs looked good. LCM has some good size, well-coached, and they have a couple fast running backs. LCM defense isn’t as good as their offense, but they overall look pretty good. Png looks like a mostly well-oiled machine, but there were a few mistakes like dropped passes, and a couple missed tackles. PNG’s qb 2 had a couple of really nice passes completed in the second half. Png qbs threw a couple ints.
  15. Silsbee needs to play better defense. They should have put cuero away. The better team lost that game.
  16. What time? Any idea of what format the scrimmage will take?
  17. I would argue PNG doesn’t have more talent. PNG has a really good coach. Roughly the same group that got blown out in the 3rd round in 2021 went to State in 2022. The only thing that changed was a better coaching approach.
  18. How will they be favorites? Is Fort Bend Marshall going to disappear (without even getting into the other teams in the district)? I can see an argument they’ll be in the mix. But I see no basis for calling them favorites, until we see more. How about they win a first round playoff game ?
  19. I agree with that approach. I don’t care if my team goes 0-3 through preseason as long as it’s making them better.
  20. What does a good season for Nederland look like this year? Setting aside the obvious “10 wins and a deep playoff run.” Given what last year was and what’s coming back, what looks good? I think six wins and making the playoffs would be a strong argument they’re improving. I don’t know if I see an easy path to 6. Of course, throw in a win against PNG and people would feel pretty good about things, I think. Who does Nederland play for pre-season?
  21. Their defense definitely was their biggest weakness. Terrible tackling.
  22. Silsbee and more than likely West Orange are beating Nederland.
