  1. Right - this 3-down linemen thing isn't working for PNG. Every single game, no matter which team. It's like watching a replay of the same game every week, because opponents are able to use the exact same plays effectively. It's like we don't have a defensive line at all.
  2. I thought it would happen at last count. BH and Crosby are both among the largest in 5a D2.
  3. The way BH is growing I’d have to guess their window for a deep playoff run is closing in a few years, at least for a while, as I think most expect them to be 5aD1 soon.
  4. All moaning about the outcome aside, without the two turnovers in the first quarter, this would have been a different game (BH knows all about that). However, given how BH was able to move the ball on the ground I still think they would have won - it just might have been more interesting.
  5. exactly - still a lot to prove. BH proved a lot about themselves tonight. There were moments PNG looked solid as well. However, given the size advantage BH has on the lines, it’s hard to think they wouldn’t win again. Some of it was momentum too - opening the game with two big turnovers put PNG in a mental, as well as a points hole. And of course PNG having a nonexistent defensive line means we are going to be at a disadvantage against every even sort of good team we play. It’s been the story all season - PnG is playing with one hand tied behind its back. That we’ve had success at all is a testament to Bost + Co on offense. The defense is abysmal. No one should ever be able to run that consistently against us, but BHs runners chewed up yards 9 or 10 at a time. No open field tackling, no fundamentals, no wrapping up. After six games it’s fairly certain these problems won’t be fixed this season. So we’ll hopefully be the third seed, lose in the first round and march out another good offense next year, with a water polo team for a defense. It’s frustrating because the defensive players are playing tough and hard, but they are completely out of position.
  6. Yeah it’s tough to swallow. The combination of steady population growth plus improved coaching has BH on a strong upward trajectory. It was like watching a bigger version of PNG. The BH qb really impressed tonight with some tough runs - but that offensive line especially gets the game ball.
  7. It’s closer to what we expected at the beginning of the season in any case.
  8. PNG just put up the white flag. No reason to punt if you can’t stop their offense anyway. Might as well go for it
  9. Bh is anticipating an onside kick - it looked like they had hands guys up front on the last png kickoff - png kicked it deep instead
  10. PNG offense is now fully awake - if the defense can get a turnover this might get interesting
  11. Honestly, game isn’t over yet so I’m not going to call time of death yet, but PNG has been due a game like this all season. You can’t be so bad on defense and expect to win big games.
  12. Wide open pass for touchdown for BH - png left him wide open
  13. Bh just had its best offensive series - Vaughn has figured something out, slicing through the BH defense. Let’s see if the pNG d can adjust
  14. I’m standing by it. Hopefully the football team can catch up, but the BH band sounded great. PNG still has a better fight song, so that’s something.
  15. Let’s go Indians - stranger things have happened
  16. So far all of my assumptions about Bh were wrong - I guess they just looked slow next to Crosby.
  17. Touchdown png with 21 seconds left in first half - 40-14 Bh over png
  18. PNG should have gone for it instead of trying for a field goal. They need to get into desperation mode
  19. The passing game is opening up now that PNG has to give so much to the run. Bh 40-7, 1:53 left in second. This is turning into one of the worst PNG losses in recent history, for several years, unless png can pull of some miracle
