  1. tomball goes for it on fourth and 4. Got the first down. on the PNG 8 yL
  2. haha. Yeah I looked over at that game but it's not exactly interesting to watch North Shore dominate Willis.
  3. 4th down and 4, for Tomball. On PNG 15-ish yL. Going for it. Timeout taken by Tomball.
  4. 3rd and 6, Tomball, at PNG 15 yL. It's 20-16 PNG.
  5. I'm listening on the radio -- I think it is still 17-16, but Tomball is knocking on the door. PNG 13-yard line.
  6. My guess is Texanlive doesn't actually have the capacity to handle as many numbers as they have this year. I'd like to see some stats as to how many are watching each game, both compared to other games this year and compared to last year. I've never seen the site struggle like this, but I don't have any trouble right now watching any of the other games on the site. I'm not extremely technically minded thought, so I might be way off.
  7. I may do so. I'm grateful the service is available, but I'd expect to at least be able to see the game.
  8. Anyone else just lose this game on Texanlive?
  9. PNG intercepts Tomball. PNG ball on Tomball 22.
  10. Tomball decides to fake the extra point. Indians stop it. 17-16 PNG. All about about 30 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
  11. Tomball QB runs for 75 yard touchdown on first play of second half.
  12. PNG defense is looking better. They are still struggling against a running QB. This one isn't even that fast, but he's doing ok. I worry about Bost running so much. He's taking some hits to his legs.
  13. End of 1st. Tomball has the ball on their own 15-ish. 7-3 PNG.
  14. 7-3 PNG. PNG just scored its first 1st quarter touchdown of the season. And the defense got away with just a field goal on the first drive for the first time this season. Bost + co look sharp tonight.
  15. My assessment: PNG played Tomball in 2018 and 2019. In 2018 PNG lost with Roschon Johnson sitting injured on the bench, and it was PNG's first game with their 2nd string QB. Even so, Tomball appeared weak and I have no doubt PNG would have beaten them soundly with RJ in the game, or even the next week with more time under the new QB. In 2019, PNG and Bost easily handled Tomball. My guess is PNG has the advantage tomorrow. I predict a three-score victory, and it will also be the first game that PNG makes a first-quarter stop, and the first game that PNG starts out in the lead.
  16. I'm hoping Tomball Memorial is the bigger, meaner cousin.
  17. At this point I'd almost say PNG SHOULD spot them 20 points. We have no idea at this point if PNG can even execute a play without being down by 20. They turn into superheroes when down by 20.
  18. Thoughts? Anyone know anything about this Tomball team?
  19. PNG defense accidentally makes a stop in the 1st quarter; stunned, the team assumes it must be the 4th quarter and gets on the bus.
  20. good point - It would definitely help if we didn’t stay on auto pilot through the first two quarters. I think PNG is showing a lot of potential, tons of room to improve, and a lot of talent to work with. We’ll be in the mix for district.
  21. Good take. My thoughts on PNG's defense are that they seemed to be in the right position more in the second half than in the first, but there were still way to many arm and hand tackles. These might be fixable problems. What worries me the most is that the defense has been entirely unprepared for the first quarter two games in a row. Maybe that can be fixed too. The defense deserves some credit for making a few key plays. I have to wonder why BU didn't throw more, as they did so successfully nearly every time they tried. Near the end, it was a given they would run. BU's QB is extremely fast. The BU O-line deserves a huge shoutout as well. The punched holes in PNG all night.
  22. You were more confident than me. I have to eat crow on criticizing the PNG D ... they put something together to make it work.
  23. A good game. Hate to see someone lose it. The players from both sides were encouraging the other side's players through the whole game. You'd almost think they were all having fun.
