Last I heard it was a Nederland N on the 50 NEDERLAND on one end zone BULLDOGS on the other end zone and a Bulldog paw prints on the 25, red zone line would be black and gold, the green turf would be like how Vidor’s is and alternate the different color shades of green.

The strange thing is the number of teenagers who have even been seriously affected by covid is close to zero. I’m not sure any have died. They likely have a greater risk of dying playing football than dying from covid. They certainly have a greater risk dying driving to practice than they do of dying from covid. And by the fall it is likely that much of the herd immunity we need to achieve will have happened. We need to protect the elderly (who are almost exclusively the only ones who need protecting), but we can do so without imprisoning an entire generation of children. 

If you turn a corner and a guy has a gun and seems to want to use it on you, your only (slim) chance of survival is taking it away. Without expressing an opinion about the overall situation, I think Ahmed did what any reasonable person would/should do. If someone comes at me with a gun and they are only a few steps from me I'm assuming they are going to use it on me and I will spend what will probably be my last moments on earth trying to take that gun away.

I read "Roughnecks" about 20 years. Fiction. Aimed more at high school kids than adults. I remember it as a good read. The whole story is a first-person view of a high school football star's thoughts in the last few days leading up to the state championship in Louisiana.

I read "Bleachers" years ago. It starts out as a good read, but it follows the plot of "Varsity Blues" so much its an entirely unoriginal book. I enjoyed the writing though -- Like all John Grisham books, the story is presented very well. But if you haven't seen "Varsity Blues," it's a relatively short book with a pretty good football story.

We'll have a season, i just hope Hurricane Season is quiet. 

We are currently looking for 4.4 athletes to move to BH for academic reasons. Please keep a look out for these fast uh smart kids.
PS athl um student must abide by hair policy.  

I think winning games would be the culture change though. Right now I would imagine kids are playing because of the love of the game and potential scholarship offers. If you can put some pelts on the wall I think you would have kids that come out/become more dedicated just because they want to be part of a winning program. That “filler” is what I think helps to separate our teams from some of the more elite teams in the DFW and Central Texas.
 
Considering the situation he was in I always thought Nelson did a good job at Ozen and to me Ozen was just as tough as some of those HISD jobs. I think it’s a little easier to sell the kids what Nelson would bring versus trying to sell them 0-30. I hope it works out though, we need more powerhouses in this region.

Hitting the juice early I see. Crosby will come limping into district 1-2 to receive their annual beat down from BH. Excuses will then fly until you can flex on Dayton and Santa Fe then tell us how the kittens will win State the following year. Am I close?😂

Let’s see track practice is going on. Nederland Bulldog relay is Feb 14. Plus middle school track meet and the elementary track meet at the end of the year. It doesn’t take long for the turf to put in. Vidor just did theirs this past summer. It will be done in a timely manner
