Maybe my Hallmark day hasn't come yet???

Travel is going to suck for a couple of those games too.  I think they should put TC and SF in a district closer to the schools.

Lumberton will also have Early Release on Friday at 12:00 noon. Community wide Pep Rally to celebrate the news of staying in 4A.

Everybody is now going to have to reschedule their Homecoming Games.

Lucky break for our local 5A Division 2 district. With Lumberton out of the district it’s anybody’s to win now 😉😂

The worst manifestation of this problem is in 6a. You have schools with just over 2300 playing schools like Allen with over 6000. What a joke. I’m hardly going to slap anyone from Allen on the back for winning district with that advantage. You could make two 5a schools out of just the size difference between some of these schools and we’re supposed to get excited for that matchup? 6a needs divisions. 

Whichever team returns with the most physical speed will be the best...

Nice comments guys! Thanks for taking the time. This is the best season the Eagles have had in 20 years! 1999 was the last time BH entered the 3rd round of the playoffs. Nothing for the players to be upset about for sure. Fans came out in droves to support this year and the Band rocked the stands! Kaopua glad you returned to the Hill, What a fantastic year you had you will be missed. Mr. Collier you will be missed as well I won’t get to see you pushing bodies 30 yards every play LOL! Much more I could comment about, but will leave it at this.

Good season, BH! 

Ok my thoughts on the game. Manvel will be the favorite going in and beat BH last year 62-42. The game last year BH came in limping with a back up QB and RB stepping in to try and compete with the mighty Mavs. Even with that BH hung with Manvel till midway 3rd quarter when the wheels fell off and Manvel broke open a 31-24 game to rattle off 31 more points. This years Eagles are much improved and considerably more healthy with maybe our starting RB out. Good news for BH is Westerberg has been rotating 3 backs all year, so we are not dead in that department.
Here's the good news for BH - The Manvel Defensive can be scored on, so I don't think we will be hurt on the offensive side of the ball. Manvel doesn't have a dual threat QB this year, so you don't have to be concerned with him taking off for 6. Playing at NRG again, so no weather concerns .
Here's the bad news for BH - Manvel has 2 big fast RB's to deal with. Manvel has speed for days among their receivers. Manvel's QB although not real mobile has a good arm and is an accurate passer.
The trenches is where this game is going to be won IMO and BH has been winning that battle all year, however Manvel looks to have some beef on both sides of the line. BH will be tested in the trenches and as the game wears on one will get the upper hand late in the game.
I think BH will have to score as said above at least 40 points to win this game and my homer pick is ……… BH 48 Manvel 42
 
BH and Manvel have 3 like opponents this year. All this tells me is that these teams are pretty close and I expect a close game.
Crosby - BH won 28-7 & Manvel won 39-27 ( Note: Manvel game was the 1st one of the year at home and 8th game of the year for BH after Crosby got their QB cleared)
Nederland - BH won 40-14 and Manvel won 49-14 ( Note: BH beat Ned at Home and Manvel beat Nederland at Manvel)
Houston Sterling - BH won 42-0 & Manvel won 44-26 ( Note: Sterling's #1 RB was out for the BH game and Manvel was home)

Agreed. I think we can play with them. We will need some breaks, but it’s not out of reach.

better button it up a lot more if you want to beat Marshall. They are much faster than us to the outside. Gl going forward, that offense showing up is a good sign for yall.

Yes very tall order, but I think we can hang with them. If they turn the ball over any ya never know. Should be a heck of a game. We need our RB back though or it gets just that much tougher.

This is exactly my point. ALL of their impact players are seniors this year and they've still performed the way they have. They had a rb that ran for about 1,200 yards and a receiver that had about 1,200 yards. It looks more to me like they miss those gamebreakers than anything having to do with health. They also had a four star d-linemen who's now at Texas that the rest of the defense could play off of, a kid like Sweat makes all your defensive linemen as well as the secondary better. Huntsville is just big on the defensive line, I don't think they have an advantage anywhere else on the field. Maybe the qbs are a toss-up but I would take Branch's 21 carries for 233 yards and 5tds in bi-district over Southern's stat line from Marshall which is pretty much how his numbers have looked all year except for CS where they trailed the whole game and he put up a bunch of passing yards.
All I can say is that Crosby is playing with a bunch of confidence right now. It looks like Coach Prieto has given up the play-callling duties and the offense is performing a lot better. I never feel good about second round games based on Crosby's history in them but I will say I haven't been this optimistic about our opportunities in one since 2009.  

This is the question. We will find out on Saturday at 2. 

I see talk of the qb coming back and while he’s better than the backup I’ll also point a couple of things out. Huntsville’s qb got hurt against Lake Creek a few weeks ago and missed the last game of the season, he played in the rest. In the full games he’s played he averages about 175ypg passing and has 11 tds with 7 ints. He has 129 rushing yards on the season and is not a running threat at all except around the goal line. 5 of those tds passes came against struggling Cleveland, 4 of the ints came against Cons. though. FBW’s qb is a better prospect, plus the Hornets only average 93ypg rushing as a team. Huntsville’s o-line is good size but I honestly feel their offense is a better matchup for Crosby’s defense than FBW’s was. 
 
All that being said, it doesn’t matter if Crosby can gets stops if they can’t score themselves. I think this is where the Crosby athletes come into play though. We may not be able to run the ball with much consistency against their front but we may be able to hit 5 or 6 big plays which is all we might need. They only averaged about 25ppg against the playoff teams on their schedule and the qb played in all of them except PNG. I expect this one to be pretty tight unless Crosby turns it over.

 
 

I was able to watch on Texan live and honestly, Nederland looked good. Really impressed with the run game. Manvel Just had too many weapons. Some of the play calling was suspect, especially in the long Nederland drive in the third quarter. Overall, my takeaway is Manvel looked vulnerable. I don’t think they will win the region.
