There is a couple of threads with 100's of posts talking about the game but I wasn't sure who won.

Tyler is a friend of mine and he was the line judge yesterday.  He threw one flag all day, the illegal hands to the face in the 3rd quarter.  Nothing he did yesterday was under debate from their fans until they found out where he was from.  .........

As far as I know he never has. I watched him lose to his dad a couple years ago. He might have won one as a coordinator somewhere else. 

Quinn ewers stays in HS his senior year instead going off to Ohio State I believe he wins the ship that year.. 

Because he hasn’t yet.  I feel he was hired for all the wrong reasons.  It was because of who his father is.  All he has to do is prove me wrong and win one.  As of now, I don’t think he has the “it” factor.

Even though PNG is like 90 miles or so from Houston realizing this or not but not only yall played for SETX but yall played for the Houston area as well and not too many people will get that but the way yall represented yalls team like yall did and especially the fans they had no choice but to group yall with the Houston area so it was pretty obvious from the start but once I'm so proud of what you guys did yesterday and I hope this will be the start of a run here.  (Except when you guys do play Huntsville again I have to roll with them since I work for the school district 😆)

When even DCTF is defending the refs, you know South Dallas has no case to prosecute. It was a good call. PN-G won, fair and square.

How does Jim and Joe explain my Mustang downfall? DCTF had us ranked #2 in the state based on the returning players. Even after our HOF coach retired and handed the keys to an assistant.
Did CT take the kids with him to the pasture? Or did the new coaches not have the same ability to produce champions? Or the wisdom to call plays instead of timeouts and delay of game penalties? (This isn't about coach bashing. Just a really good example)
I know there's always an exception to the rule. But I've seen rookie coaches win the championship the past 2 seasons. And maybe further back if I go look. This is about admitting there is a correlation to Jim and Joe being coached up by someone who is an elite coach. Not just a good or great coach. 
MY Levels of Coaching
BAD 0-10 but everyone plays
AVERAGE 5-6 1st round exit
GOOD 7-5 makes playoffs most years
GREAT 10-3 battles for a DC and makes playoffs every year
ELITE 13-1 expects to play in the region final every year, with a chance to play for the championship 
Now another thing I'd like to add to the conversation. All these different things that have been said about what makes a coach great... Leading and molding young men, making sure they stay in class and school, all the things that coaches do for their students off the field. That's the basic job description that we expect for every one of them. All coaches at all schools should be held to that minimum standard. But like @Reagan has said... we hire them with the expectation to win on top of that.
Did anyone listen to any of the post game interviews? Nobody thanked the superintendents. All glory given to God.

Go Indians!! This Bulldog made it to the last 3 games but I have a wedding tomorrow so gonna have to miss this one but hopefully I have time to watch online! We are on way to Dallas area as well and love seeing all the purple at Buccees and on the road! Win it all PNG!

Ok SETX family Leaving for Dallas. I say thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I truly hope someday that each and every one of your communties get a chance to play for State. Teams like WOS, BWB, Nederland, Crosby, Dayton, Newton, San Augustine, Bridge City, and other communities that have made it to State have the chace to do it again. I make this promise if at all possible I will be there to support you. WOS please continue to lead the way. SILSBEE you are so close. Keep plugging away you will be there soon. Dayton our purple brothers and sisters its past time you returned back to the Dayton of old. Beaumont and Port Arthur you are both loaded and capable of making state. I look forward to the day it all clicks and you are there as proud communities. The one thing I have learned is it takes a lot to make it to the SC but one important factor our coaching staff has taught me is that you have to believe that you came make it to state. Another thing WOS has taught me is that to make it ti State you have to have a good defense. I wish, hope and pray that each and every SETX schools has this opportunity some day. Know that the support from our big community has been noticed by the PNG community. You all have been amazing. Thank you again. Lastly I would like to say thank you to the Nederland community. So much support from you shows the bond of playinh for 100 times. The really cool shirts you have made honors us. We welcome all of you to the game and appreciate all of your support. Tell me if you agree with this:  There are those here that says it’s about the talent and not the coaching.  Therefore these same people feel that all coaches are the same.  You know, they can be championship type coaches if they just had the talent.  Now, it’s gotten to the point some say even Saban couldn’t win at Westbrook or United.  So, here’s the amazing point:  These same people are actually saying there’s no difference between Saban and the coaches at Westbrook and United!  You know, it’s because of the talent.  Thoughts?!

Why then, did PnG get obliterated in the 3rd round in 2021 (we could barely make a tackle), bring back most of the same key players, and go straight to state the next year? And then, with a new crop of guys, we go straight back? Conventional wisdom said the Mid County schools had no hope to recreate the success of the 70s. Look at us now.
The main variable that changed was the coaching. PNG went from a team that couldn’t even sort of hang with the best, to a team that could beat the best. Coaching is the most important factor, most of the time.
 
I refuse to believe that West Orange suddenly doesn’t have good players. What - was there a chemical leak in the hospital nursery exactly sixteen years ago? Did the gene pool change? What about Hampshire Fannet? They went from bottom-dwelling nobodies to a disciplined, smart, tough, athletic unit - They just happen to have good players now?
