2.
Crosby is the best statical defensive team in the area.  Here are the best defenses by their rank in the state of Texas. 1  Crosby 34 2  PNG 39 3  Beaumont WB 60 4  Jasper 85 5  West Orange 96 6  Santa Fe 107 7  Angleton 125 8  Beaumont Central 134 9  PA Memorial 140 10 Lumberton 141 11 Friendswood 188 12 Dayton 212 13 Texas City 232 14 Vidor 241 15 East Chambers 271 16 Silsbee 279 17 Ozen 286 18 Barbers Hill 317 19 HJ 319 20 LCM 349 21 Nederland 382 22 Newton 407 23 Bridge City 408 24 Anahuac 488 25 Livingston 763 26 Orangefield 796
How is this ranking derived??
3. I would have to go with Jasper!! They are giving up just over 200 yards per game and have 3 touch downs and 31 takeaways!! not to shabby considering the the opponents.
4. Jasper by 10!! The place kicker gets his chance to shine!!
5. Are you talking about Dean's Meat Market? The one and only.........you can get a burger, fries and drink for under five bucks.....or try some of that hot water cornbread with your greens....lol Yea i have been there it is great food for little money!!!
6. LOL it is as sure that Jasper makes it as it is that WOS does!! Not even close... LOL why is it that WOS fans simply refuse to give any credit to Jasper?? Where does the hatred come from??? PLEASE get the freaking chip OFF of your shoulder! Jaspers district is MUCH tougher than ours... That is the only reason I say that. It's really a compliment... geez! You people need to start reading and quit looking for something to belly ache about. LOL well thanks for the compliment but i dont see our district any tougher than yall's there is us and Carthage, huntington is no better than H-F, Diboll and Center are no better than BC Really? Carthage 5-0 defending state champions Jasper 3-1 with wins over both of our projected district front runners, Silsbee and WOS. Center 3-1 with a win over 4A Nacogdoches. Rusk 3-2 Diboll 1-3 who's only win came against one of our front runners in district, Silsbee. The only way you can see these as equal is because you are trying to back your statements. If this were a "Who has the tougher district" thread and a WOS poster came on here and said our district was tougher you would be up in arms over it saying that we, "just can't give ya'll any credit". Looks like we can't win for losing. Gas our district is tougher what i am trying to say is that i believe we can win the games we need to to make the playoffs just as sure as yall can win the ones yall need to make the playoffs. We have to beat Carthage to be district champs. can we? that remains to be seen. But i believe we can win the rest of our district games. Yall have to beat Silsbee to be district Champs can you? I think so especially with the conditions tonight because Silsbee has no running game. and i have no doubt that WOS will win the rest of their district games.

8. yes Yall have a good team I was just wondering why gas thinks our shot at the playoffs is not as sure as yalls. And it really doesnt matter what yall think but some of you always seem to chime in on evrything for soem reason.
9. LOL it is as sure that Jasper makes it as it is that WOS does!! Not even close... LOL why is it that WOS fans simply refuse to give any credit to Jasper?? Where does the hatred come from???
10. LOL it is as sure that Jasper makes it as it is that WOS does!!
11. yea finally some football weather !!!! just could do with out the rain!!!
12. The temperature in Jasper just dropped 16 degrees in the last 10 minutes!!
13. LOL yea just once i would like to see a weather man look out of the window and tell me what is happening!!
14. yep. Well Jasper was larger at the last realignment, but is down over 100 since then.
15. Sam Alvis from Jasper is not a running back but has 62 carries for 418 yards 6 touchdowns and Ben Armstrong was left off has 82 carries for 414 yards adn 3 touch downs
16. It is really weird. All these years that Jasper hung its hat on the spread, they were not particularly successful with it. Now, with another primary offensive approach, Jasper seems to be having good success with the spread. Go figure. Clearly, it is giving other teams two totally different offenses to prepare for. From what I can see of Bickham, I would not be surprised if he pulls something else out of his hat somewhere down the road. LOL not particularly successful running the spread??? your kidding me right?? Jasper installed the spread in 01 and played 14 games in 4A football and on 02 played 14 games in 3A football then in 03 played 14 games and in 04 played 16 games. thats 58 games in 4 years i think that is pretty successful!! granted only played 11 games in 05 and just 10 in 06 which was the last year of the true spread.
17. Orange #3? Only question mark to me. No disrespect to the stangs You are right on, Jag. Central and Vidor both run all over WOS. They should probably be 1 and 2. And, since Brook beat Central, and Central beat Vidor, you would have to think that Brook is top 5. PAM is also better than some of these teams. In fact, PAM might be the best in the area right now. We didn't play WO-S this year. But these are some interesting rankings... Jasper did play WO-S and beaat them and is not in the top 5
18. Jasper by more than 3 touchdowns!!
19. Im thinking the loss of WT has alot to do with it.
20. The triple I on offense and the 3-3 stack on defense.
21. Hey Coop I have an answer for you, and it is affecting WOS as much as Jasper. Enrollment!!! when you have over 900 in school you can field a better team than when you have fewer than 700 it is a simple numbers game. This problem started taking its toll on Jasper a few years ago and it seems to be catching up with WOS now.
22. Appreciate the love...but, district looms...one game at a time... I agree it is a little early to be talking about a long run in the playoffs, but I have noticed some of that old swagger coming back to the DOGS!!
