They didn't throw Price because if Buna beats them with their best stuff on the mound, Kountze wont have a leg to stand on. Since we won last night, now they can say, "Oh, we didnt throw Price. It would have been wayyyy different." No different than any other year Lions. There's alot of talent in this district on all teams. Kountze and Warren should be pretty good, but I dont know about anybody else really. I really think 24-2A is Buna's title to lose. Too much talent all over. Though their record may not show it (Buna plays with the big boys before district) they will be ready and focused for their sixth straight district title and a deep run in the playoffs. Eat em up K-Train!

I think what he said might have taken out of context. Having played for Coach Morgan, I can't imagine him or any other coach saying this. We could be down by 30 at half, and he was still telling us we could make some big plays and stops and be right back in it. I think what he MEANT by saying we had "no chance to make it," is that there was NO WAY Anahuac would get beat by Hardin. Not that we were gonna lose to Woodville. Again, this is hypothetical. But I'm willing to bet that's what he meant. He's not that kind of guy.

anahuac and buna will be able to hit 80 mph fastballs. i dont know what the craze is with this kid. even if he can throw 97, it wont matter. Kountze has to field the ball for 7 innings against superior teams. Good luck.

After making a visit to Seminole State back in September 2009, Josh verbally committed and has recently signed a full scholarship with the Trojans. There he will take on the role of short stop and pitching. Josh will also return to Oklahoma in June to play again with the Oklahoma City Ambassadors. The team will showcase in Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and close out the season with an international trip.

that's terrible. karma usually has its way of finding us later down the road. hopefully Yates understands that.

The cougars played EC down to the wire last week, and had several opportunities to finish the deal. Kountze will put up a fight early, but I dont know how long they can keep Buna out of the endzone. Look for QB Josh Clark to do it big this week, and lead Buna to their first district win. Buna 28, Kountze 14!

They are playin a tough, tough schedule and cant seem to get rollin yet. But when they do, and they will... lord have mercy. They will be tough to beat, I guarantee it.

Buna 21, Hardin 0 (At the end of the first quarter) Please... this one's not even close. Clark, Baxter, and both Crafts are gonna blow up Hardin's scoreboard. Somebody better call the Hardin fire department, if they have one. PUNISH.

I can't believe this. Ok, even if the refs had "given" Buna FOUR touchdowns, they still would have beaten the pirates, because.. what? Oh wait, they didnt score any points. Quit complaining about refs, it will not change the fact that you scored as many points as the people in the concession stand: ZERO. And another thing, after what happened at Kirbyville last week.. (you might not of heard it, they broke the score board after the visitors stomped their 50). It's funny, its a rather similar situation. DONT GIVE BETTER TEAMS MORE MOTIVATION TO BEAT YOU EVEN WORSE. If you wanna stomp on people's 50 yard lines like you own the place, you sure as heck better back it up, or else you'll look like Deweyville.
