  1. What happen to the seventh win? Did it not happen last Friday? Lumberton played a great game, but the better team won Friday night. The linebacker kid Beard, is a very good athlete. He was getting upset when he couldn't make every play. He will be a strong player to deal with in the next two years. Can you remind the PNG faithful how many yards Hussey had? Where was the eighth ranked defense? Does any of you L-Town fans know who #33 is for PNG? Good Luck L-Town, you will represent our district well in the playoffs. It sure is sweeter to be the district LEADER. Good game Indians!!
  2. Travelingbandsman is correct. All PNG needs to do is beat Vidor and they are in the playoffs. Central, Dayton, Nederland, & Lumberton play to many remaining head-to-head games and they all have at least one loss already. Do I need to remind you that PNG has zero. If PNG would tie Nederland or Lumberton on record, PNG would enter the playoffs because they won head-to-head. If this is not correct please inform me. Oh yeah, PNG rolls over Vidor 35-7.
  3. Not meaning this to be disrespectful, you need to re check your math. According to your rationale PNG and Central can both get in with 2 losses, but Nederland, Lumberton and Dayton can only afford 1 loss total to get in? Bottom line is that Central is in serious trouble and is going to need to win out and need some unlikely things to happen to have any hope whatsoever of getting in. The rest is wide open to PNG, Nederland, Lumberton and Dayton. Too many if's and no one that is unbeatable including PNG. At this point every one of those teams still has total control of its own destiny.
  4. It was just a figure of speech. : Trust me, I know it will never match up anywhere close to MCM. I was just talking about the amount of people that will probaly be at this game. It will be a long 30min. drive back to L-Town for their fans.
  5. If you go by opposing records they are even. If you go by Pre-season picks, I say L-town. If you say quality opp., I say slight edge going to L-Town. This is going to be one fun game. It's like MCM with a district lead at stake. What more can a fan ask for. I have heard rumors that the game is almost sold out. Is there any truth to this rumor??
  6. I actually have to agree with maverick24 on this one.
  7. I love it. That is to funny. Great post akifan94.
  8. When you read the word MOJO, do you think of a great teams now at Odessa or do you think that past teams help motivate the young players today?
  9. With the smallest offensive line from what I've heard from other L-Town Faithfuls.
  10. Thats great, an only a Sophmore. He sure has a bright future in the blue & red. Hopefully he will have a big D1 program start to look at him next year. How big is he?
  11. You need to leave the gang activities in Lumberton. In MC all it takes is one PNG Defender to bring a weak running back to the grass at the Rez.
  12. You are a funny little man bhawk. Does Beard play the line or is he a linbacker??
  13. Great Post.
  14. You must be out yo mind. That is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I guess all 8 of his TD's this year was luck too. One young man won't be able to bring Hemmings down. He is our Senior leader and he would love nothing more than to send another undefeated team home with a loss.
  15. He is kind of both. He has the speed to get to the outside but in the same turn, he can also run you over. His name is Josh Wright #9 only a Junior.
  16. After Friday Night I will serve you and all the L-Town fans a big-o helping of CROW. Would you like me to remove the feathers? This game will have the same end results of all the past games between PNG & Lumberton.
  17. I agree with you patitan, but this will be Lumberton last week to be given the title of "Game of the Week". PNG already upset your favorite team BigNed, so it's time for other unbeaten to fall to the hands on a much improved Indians team.
  18. Dayton was the first and only defense Lumberton has faced that was worth something until this Friday. Lumberton did win the game on heart and great play at the end of the game, but what happen the first 3 1/2 quarters? L-Town made mistakes and couldn't put points on the board. Lumberton will be facing the same type of stinging defense this week but PNG will put 28 or more points on the offensive side where Dayton failed to do so.
  19. District games are about match-ups. PNG out matches L-Town in every way including the waterboy's. I would be willing to bet that Ozen gives you a loss just like your team will be receiving this Friday.
  20. Your are 100% right about the rushing stats. I was mainly talking about the way our o-line matched up against their d-line. We had 4 dumb play calling that turn into int. If we would have ran the ball more that game the stats would have been there, plus it was the 1st district game. Lumberton had a tough opener against Dayton, then ya'll destroyed Vidor & Central the next two weeks. Friday will be the best game of the year for both teams. Good Luck.
  21. Maverick24, you can stop blowing smoke in our tee-pee now. Lumberton's defense might be fast but they lack in size up front. The PNG line blew Big Ozen, Little LCM, and Bid Nederland's front four off the ball all night. This will be another sweet victory for our boys again this week to knock off another undefeated team in our district, let alone the year.
  22. Seven points was on a defensive TD. The most points PNG has given in a single District game was against Nederland 16 and that was in a BIG TIME GAME. You L-Town people will face reality this Friday night. The dream season of winning District will end. I will and can say that Lumberton will make the playoffs this year for the first time in school history. Congrats when it happens.
  23. I have been following PNG football since the 99 State Runner-up Championship year. This years team is exactly what they are "A Team". They had their downs at the beginning of the season, but they learned from the loses and look at us now. (4-0) The game Friday night will be exciting. Lumberton must have a really good team this year in order to pull off 6 straight victories in convincing fashion. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE thought BigNed was going to beat PNG this last Friday, but look what happened. An undefeated team falling to the hands of the Mighty Indians. So guess what my prediction is this week, you guesed it, another undefeated going down. My Indians will take this one 28-14. To much Disipline defense for Lumberton's running game to handle.
  24. PNG has gotten a lot better on defense this year compared to last. The addition of a new defensive coordinator has help a bunch. He brings new sceams in every game. If LCM can't score from about the 50 yard line on one play then they will be shutout. The only reason I say this is because every TD given up by the defense has been over 40 to 50+ yards a play. In district games those kind of plays are hard to come by more than once or twice.IMO
