Anything can happen in any given game at the high school level. Coldspring has beaten Madisonville. Madisonville sits at 8-1. Coldspring then comes out and loses to Cleveland later in the season... a game that proves clearly that anything can happen on any given Friday night. Coldspring was definitely the better team. But, Cleveland just played better that night. WOS is certainly the favorite. And deservably so. But, they will have to contend with the speed of the Coldspring backfield. Coldspring will have to play mistake free and get some breaks. WOS will have to make a few costly mistakes. But, that happens every week in high school football.

I guess Coldspring didn't have a tough pre-district schedule...... Woodville, Madisonville, Cy-Woods, Diboll, and Navasota???? If Liberty had the same pre-district schedule as Coldspring, they would be 0-5 and maybe squeeking into the playoffs with a 3-7 record just as last year. I'm gonna have to say the Trojans in this one....big.....

splendora over cleveland. they just find a way to win in district. coldspring over liberty. coldspring had a tough non-district. they opponents records are 24-3. 2 of those 3 are losses to coldspring. shepherd over tarkington. i'll take a running qb over a passing qb against 2 bad defenses.

Have to go with Coldspring in this one. Their opponent level goes down now that district starts.

i could see tark beating shepherd, but i don't think they have the athletes to beat cleveland when cleveland is coached well.

Coldspring - Zavius Johnson 280 yards on 20 carries with 3 touchdowns. Also had 7 solo tackles on defense and 7 assists.

Seems that Cleveland is having a rough time of it. Navasota seems to be better.
