I'm not very excitable, but there were several times I wanted to run down to the court and show UCLA my size 11 boot. Dem boys play rough ya herr, n I thank Coco would go as wild as a coon with his head in a beer bottle...n if yew ain never seen that, sonny boy what a fight! Also, in my opinion UGS courses won't help him one bit. A disciplined schedule and daily routine would do him best, and they would give him that at Texas. Like I said, they may want him, but when they need him he'll be here.

This is football. Mother is not on the field, so stop crying to her. C'mon now! The video mentioned this happened multiple times which questions the ability of this QB to make the grades at Stanford. He got lit up, it's a possibilty every time you step onto the gridiron, and most people live for these hits. His team was most likely penalized for crossing the line. Think about this: We've all seen those infamous plays where the kicker comes in untouched and takes someone's head off. That's awesome right? With this play that threat is neutralized... ;D

Why was this not a problem last year?

I hear there has been a great change between last year and this year. I hear they have no respect for the authority and I have heard complaints of cursing as well. In my observations they were told to relax for the rest of the game and they refused. Instead of taking it up Monday with the administration, they chose to make a scene...why? They were told that the press would support them. Of course they will! Look at what this has become! Regardless of spirit and paint, there was a way to handle the situation and declaring war against the higher ups was not the right path. This situation was completely avoidable, and had other action been taken, the SCRUBS would be at their homecoming game shirtless.

I agree with your assumptions...AggiesAreWe and Tiger90, I'm sure you could comment on how "they" ran it last year and how things are being handled currently. It seems as if there was steady interaction between Admin and students during games the previous year and there was nothing like this. It may just be a question of leadership, respect, and character...they don't make 'em like they used to.

I applaud the kids! They were standing on principle. Fight for what you believe in. The past games this season, last season, and all previous seasons dictated that what they were doing was not wrong! It is a totally subjective call by a power-hungry administrator. She probably belongs back in the junior high setting and definitely not a high school. There is no need to fight...that is against school and SCRUB spirit---fighting the school!?! They were trying to stand on the PRINCIPAL rather than principle. It is a disgrace to appluad such action and to encourage the disrespect towards administrators, therefore YOU are a disgrace!

Judex! come on now, the only measure at their disposal? maybe the students should have pulled their heads...i refrain from discussing students' nether regions. why not comply and appeal the ruling later? what was shown was not school spirit, it was a display of self-pride and rebellion, and that is awful. i shame their actions because that is what is truly sad.

They WON'T compete for a playoff spot. I'm sorry but if they have the SAME players coming back, then why can't we expect the SAME results. Unless there is a strong class moving in, then you're just gonna see last year's team. By all means prove me wrong BC, it would be entertaining to see you guys battle for a playoff spot. I'm not sure who HF lost, but they looked like the next best thing apart from WOS and Silsbee, both of which return key players. Who knows though, there may be a toss up for second place, I'm saying any one of the following three could end up in second place, but my guess is: Silsbee WOS HF ...and my predictions are based solely on instinct, I feel that Silsbee is due, so don't argue it because there is no concrete logic involved. 8)

I agree. 22-4AAAA will again be a battle....same as last year. 22-4AAAA.......so that's like 22-8A or -AAAAAAAA??? Wow, they're in a league of their own, really! 8)
