Why are they playing a 7 on 7 tourney on Memorial Day weekend?

What is the criteria for best athlete in SE Texas? I would say the student-athlete with the most state championships in a high school career and who was the best nationally. If you only dominated one sport I would rule that student-athlete out. Kalon won state championships in 2 sports and was All District 3x in a 3rd sport (football). Who has more than six state championships in SETX? And lastly, what student-athlete do we know was an individual National Champion (Track)?

I thought Coach David Green was out of the mix due to the money? The Silsbee native will have the U in great hands if he comes.

Are you kidding me? So BISD wouldn't hire Coach Mike T, but Temple ISD would? Wow! They must be holding the job for Coach K! My co-worker just told me that Temple has been in the football finals and the girls went to state in basketball this year. Like I said in one of my post, when Coach Sig leaves, I would be happy to have him come back and coach in Silsbee.

OK...It is about time that the rest of the nation know how good we are in high school basketball. It is an honor to be invited to a National Tournament and no team should turn it down.

Is Coach Mike T a finalist for the United job? Where is he a finalist for the other job? He had a good game plan to beat us but Devon took over on the boards and Ozen couldn't hold the lead. I was hoping that he would hang around another year if he doesn't get the United job and get the job at Silsbee when Coach Sig retires?

Silsbee will be the undisputed #1 in 4A. United should be ranked in the Top 20 too.

Would English take a job in 6A where he knew that he would not have the talent to compete in 6A?

I posted in another post that I thought he would be the best hire. He will have a dynamic offense, the kids will follow his lead because he is a great leader. My nephew played for him and he held his kids accountable and preached character all the time when I would come by their practices. I wish he was in Silsbee.

Are you kidding me? We (Silsbee) has the best 3 guard combo in the state of Texas with McCain, Bush, and Adams. There pressure will not effect us at all and we will score at will. This will be a track meet and no one can outrun the Silsbee Tigers.

Good win Tigers. I thought the game would be closer. I am happy that Argyle is out of it. I didn't think that Dallas Lincoln would be in the mix again. Putting 99 on Scarborough is huge.

Wow! Major upset! I didn't think Ozen would win this game. Crosby had lost a few games and Ozen lost a lot. Coaches at Ozen are doing a great job to say they lost the Jones kid, the big sophomore post player who can play, and the tall kid with the goggles.
