My gut tells me, that NW will beat Daingerfield and Newton will beat Franklin.  Then, New Waverly vs. Newton.  I think Newton will win, but should be a good one.

Im goin to have to disagree with ya on this one. Daingerfield is a solid team and should beat NW. I do agree that newton will win. Then Newton vs Daingerfield will be one heck of a matchup!

Pretty impressive so far!

This s a good move. IMO any team that plays on Saturdays are all missing out on the whole Friday Night Lights experience. I know alot of schools in the Houston area have to play Saturday games on a regular basis due to sharing stadiums situation but like i said IMO Fridays are what really get alot of kids jacked and ready to play. There is something about playing on Saturdays in HS that doesnt seem right.

I wonder how last year's Hardin team matches up with this years HD team?

IMO its a no brainer...But then again its this year and not last year  the fact is HD won this one.. Just need 2 suck it up 4 a year and then next year go out and take it back and believe me next year it will happen. HD is gonna fall off for a while in this rivalry just wait and see. Hardin has great talent and will only get better!

I believe its 71 in a row..Not 100% sure but I believe thats what it is. Either way its a tremendous amount of W's and in my opinion now that they got Katy out of the way, they will again run the tables during the reg. season.

I know this is not the college board but i couldnt find the forum for it. The Score for Rice and SMU is 49-20 Rice with about 7:30 left in the 3rd. Is Rice suppose to be any good this year or are the Stangs just that terrible? How long til June Jones starts picking up a decent amount of wins?

The kids name is Mitch. Earl Campbell time...Doubt it! Stelly and Villamez of Hardin are both great players and the match-up should be a good one. Match-ups make the game interesting but in the long run we all know the score at the end of the 4th is what really matters and Hardin will take this game again to continue their winning streak against HD.

Ok, I tried to be diplomatic on my first post and not start the mouthing or trash talking, but this is Hardin and Hull-Daisetta, so lets go! Stelly and Barber should have fun, but let's not forget Villamez, he is gonna light some people up. Just ask Hardin Jefferson, they had a few kids walking to the wrong sideline after he hit them. As far as the two HD running backs, WHATEVER! I'm over 230 pounds too, I don't want any part of Hardins run defense. But, after looking at HD's TAKS scores over the last few years, I can see where they would struggle with these forums. Now, that should open things up a little on here!

This is a rivalry that goes way back. With H-D winning most of the contests. But as of late Hardin has had some good football seasons. H-D is a 1A school but like always has many explosive weapons on the football field. This game should get really heated fast and be real competitive. Bragging rights are on the line. Well actually H.D. is the one who has had the good football seasons (other than Hardin's run last year). Its just that the last two times these two have faced each other Hardin has come out on top and i expect the same to happen this time as well. Hardin 34 H.D. 20

Hardin needs to be working on there DEFENSE.

He has a good point..Hardin had a pretty good offense last season and the defense at times is what hurt them. In my opinion if the D was a bit better then they probably wouldnt of had some of the problems that they had. Like i said that was last season and next year its a new story!

You also forgot to mention Dayton! Correct me if im wrong but i believe they are returning alot of their key players from last year and well we all know the rest.

So move Hardin up and take the place of Crosby in 19-4A.  They would be better challenge than Crosby, or about the same.
