I have personally watched both teams this year and health of players wouldn't make any difference. Buna just has more bigger and faster athletes. I believe Dville will play with heart but Buna's a boat load. Buna-35 Dville-7

I wish the Pirates well, but this is their only shot at a district win, (in my opinion). I believe they'll come up a little short. Anahuac by 10 pts.

I believe there used to be a Jr High in Loeb (south lumberton) and the kids went to High School in Silsbee, this was before Lumberton had a school. Now of course, Loeb is Lumberton.

Best: Silsbee/Dayton Worst surface: Babe is pretty thin on top

I'm stupid for this, but I'll try one more time. Go through this thread and read my post, and only my post. I've said nothing about HD being slow or Evadale or West Hardin being better than HD. You won't find any of that in my post. All you will find is my concern for poor sportsmanship and lack of class by ONE HD poster. IF you will slow down and read them all you will see that. ??? ??? ???

I'm still hoping the Pirates will step up and play. I really believe they have some athletes, they're just not putting it all together. That being said, PNG seems to always have their "ducks in a row". PNG-28 Vidor-14 I'm pulling for ya Pirates...and yes, halftime with lights out is pretty cool.

Unfortunately, I would have to agree with you. If it does happen like this, the coaches and administration are doing that kid a disservice. We need to remember that you learn life lessons in high school sports.

I agree completely. I think you gotta give Coach Franklin up in Chester a nod. Those guys finished the season with 12 kids last year and were in danger of losing the program. They have good numbers, not enough for JV yet, and are competing well. But like I said, I agree with the list posted.
