I beleive prayer before games is good. If someone doesn't want to pray, it's certainly their right not to. We could get carried away with "what this country was founded on" and all that, but to stick to the topic, when could talking to God be bad? Just my opinion.

Good call dove. This 1A district has lots of class and plenty of athletes. With Evadale getting in the mix, this may be fun for several years. All in all, WH, Evadale, HD, HI, and Sabine Pass are all class programs. We can't let a few "almost pro's with twisted ankles" characterize the whole community. Hang in the 1A, ya'll are looking good this year.

There comes a time when you've got to look at their accomplishments and make a resonalble assessment. I believe they have accomplished much and they are for real. They beat Dayton, but only by 1. They beat Vidor pretty bad, but that was Vidor. They jumped all over Central, but Central is down this year. Seems like the district may be running out of teams and excuses. I'm not necessarily a Lumberton fan but I saw them play once this year and they can flat out play football.

I agree Scalp'em. Looks like the Raiders are going to be there in the end, if they take care of their business. Hang in there Pirates, I saw you guys once this year and ya'll have some good athletes, not sure what's going on, but you've got to keep your heads up. Congrats Bronco's, pretty solid game.

Looks like the day of wiping your feet on Evadale are over. HD chose the Rebels for their homecomming, that may fire the Rebels up! Should be interesting. Anyway, heard WH and Evadale was a battle ALL THE WAY TO THE END. I understand Evadale was without a starting D-end and #28 (very good blocking back). Good game Oilers. Keep digging Rebels.

Mid County madness is hard to beat. A close second, Central at Lumberton, this one has potential for turning the District on its end.

Talked with a bud of mine in Evadale and he said the two teams played a couple of weeks ago as a pick-up game. Both teams were idle and Evadale won 20-something to zip in Evadale. They played their regular scheduled game tonight in WH and the Rebels won 26-0.

I agree with you, somewhat. Thompson turned the Vidor program around and went to TJ. The year he left, Vidor won the district championship under Phil Brown.I believe most folks would tell you that Vidor won because Thompson got them heading the right direction. Vidor can still win, but not under this program (in my opinion). We should keep these threads in perspective. If these post were to be strictly sugar and honey; the whole forum would go away.
