1st year coach Tracy Franklin is turning things around at Chester. I believe Chester finished last year with 12 players and I hear he has 20-something this year. I think it will be close and low. Chester-18 HI-6

It's hard to describe the felling, I guess everyone here understands. Absolutely can't wait for Friday nights. Evacuated to Georgetown during Rita and went to a game there.

Classic case of one team being ready to play and the other team looking to next week. I hear Legacy came fired-up and ready and Evadale showed up in Diboll suited up for Price-Carlise. Good game for Legacy and maybe a wake-up call for the Rebels. One positive for Evadale, they had a chance to fold and didn't. "you better hoe the row in front of you".

I agree with you WH. I don't think it will be a blow out. Kountze can pound the ball. Their not "3 yards in a cloud of dust", their 8 yards in cloud of dust. I really would like to see WH play with them. Kountze 24, West Hardin 7.

If Jasper should find themselves in trouble this year, they have a good one (coach) on staff as a classroom teacher. If I'm not mistaken, Coach Harper left Burkeville to teach at Jasper; it may be that he's left the field for good; if so, that's football's loss.

Believe me, I would love to see High Island keep it close, but this one will be over quick.

I have to agree with you 87Pirate. Kountze and Buna are very physical this year. EC is always tough and Deweyville is not that far behind. Would love to see someone in this district go a few rounds.
