1. Congrats Rebels...District Champs!!! Congrats also to Big Sandy 2nd and Hull-Daisetta 3rd!!! Good luck to our District in the playoffs...
2.
Big Sandy's only issue is youth. The introduction's said 1 freshman,3 sophomores and a senior.Congrats to the Rebels on the district title but don't get on the Wildcats to hard ,they will get harder and harder to beat over the next couple of seasons.
The "Rebels" are not getting on the Wildcats at all.  Only a couple goof-balls that don't play or never played.  As a whole, we from Evadale have a healthy respect for Big Sandy and love when we get it on.  I've known about the quality of basketball in BS since I was in grade school watching my two sisters play em in Half-Court basketball.  And then when I played in the late 70's, early 80's we were pretty stout and so were they. (we were 2A in that day and didn't play in district)...Anyway, congrats to BS for getting in and hope to see y'all in Regional...
3. The Wildcats kept it close for the 1st half and hats off to em. The Rebels were getting the ball inside very well but the turnovers in the paint in the 1st half were terrible.  They finally got a handle on it.  Right after a Ref called a horrible call on a Tech-foul after a Reb blocked a shot, that seemed to really get the blood flowing for the Rebs.  Coach called a well timed time out and got ALL over the guys and told em to mix it up and get physical (oh yeah, we could hear him just fine  ;D) and thats just what they did, at that point, it was only a matter of time. The inside game was stout tonight and #3 was on fire from the 3 point line.  Good job of moving the ball around and penetrating by the Rebel point guard.
4. I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag cause I know most of y'all won't get to watch the final season until it airs on NBC.  But I've gotta say it ends with a bang.  We just finished the final episode tonight on the 101 Channel Direct TV.  If you like this show, don't miss it.
5.

Can anyone confirm...these are Dvision I schools?  ??? Looks like the thread started out as I-Div.  If so, what is the cutoff for I & II in 1A?  I know in football its 149 or 150.
MO, they are indeed 1A-DI schools: [Hidden Content] The lowest population seems to be 100 (Sabine Pass and Vega).
Thanks Grad...I knew the numbers for Basketball and Football were different just didn't know they were that drastic.  Thanks for the info.

7.
Goodrich takes this one 108-19.
Holy Toledo!!!
8. Congrats Cats....Big game coming up at Rebels Gym Friday night! See y'all there.
9. Lets don't forget that Red Horse played their rears off!  BUT...if the Rebels make the high percentage shots under the basket, its a 15 point Rebel win....I think we're all saying the same thing (kinda).  The inside game is there but often times we just don't "finish".
10. Like they warned...Red Horse!  We've all heard of long and short seconds, guess that was on of those LONG seconds! You're 100% right Blue.  The Big guys missed enough shots down low to win by 15.  Yes, they were contested shots, but our big guys are strong physically and we're just not playing that way.  Well, at times we look flat-out stout, and times we look soft and timid.  #21 stayed open underneath but we just were too late getting him the ball. It was a good game that could have gone either way but the Rebs must start playing through adversity or we'll only miss a couple practices in baseball.
11. Our Constable is too old to travel and its Blues fault.  HAHA.  I voted for ya!    LOL
12. I guess we'll find out in Leggett Blue...LOL Cat, so I guess Goodrich beat Burkeville the 1st meeting?  That 2nd and 3rd spot is real close.
13. The late Parnell Likes!  That guy was a load! The year we moved up to 2A HD moved down from 3A and if I remember right, HD went on to win the State Title.  I believe that was 1979??  Anyway, Mr Likes was a beast!  Good speed and a hard nosed runner!
14. Thanks Catman...looks like this district will come down to the last tick of the clock.
15. This should be a good one!  Rebs better show up ready to go to work...
16. Dang...I know this is Spurger/Leggett thread but y'all have my curiosity up.  Like some of y'all are saying, guess we'll find out Tuesday. So who's in contention from this District?  Spurger, Burkeville and Leggett?
17.
where you at catman whats the score
Girls start at 3:00 with boys to follow...
18. Impressive spead Rebels.  Thanks for the updates Rebel Fan.
19. Yeah Trophy, after the cold week we had just had too much on my plate to get to the gym.  Thanks Reb Fan. WOW, looks like the Rebs have bounced back pretty well.  Keep fogging it to em!!!
20. This should be a good one.  I think BS will win in a close game.
