[/quote]You're spot on arrow....was a good game for Evadale having to move some folks around to compensate for big Starks being injured.  Much better ball control against the press and very improved on the turnovers.  Coach L Williams has  the guys focused and headed in the right direction.  If the Rebels could have shot better from the charity stripe it may have turned out different. #3 was strangely cold from the 3 pt line but that will change, he'll be back.  But that's part of the game and every game has its good and bad points.  Congrats to the Lions on the win.  And Big congrats to the Rebs.  This game was 101-76 about two weeks ago (that's pretty close to the score)...as I said earlier, had a gut feeling this one was gonna be closer than the 1st one.

I look for a much better game tonight than the game these two played during the Evadale tournament.  The Rebels have been moving some folks around trying to find a good fit at the point and may have taken some steps recently to improve play at that position.  Big man BD has really been playing well lately and has done a good job of keeping himself focused and letting his game do the talking. Kountze is a load no doubt but I'll be surprised if the Rebs don't keep this one much closer...we'll soon find out.

Kinda strange...JMO, that Vidor would put a team in a 1A tournament.  Like someone said, the Evadale tournament would at least offer a little more of a challenge. 

The Lions are stout!  You'll need to be very quick to stay with em.  Rebels played much better than I anticipated.  Today marks the first full week of basketball in Evadale.  They'll be ok in district play. Congrats to the Lions on Tournament Champs!!!

No problem WOS Grad....It was a few days since my last log-on and didn't know you and Aggie were on the job last night.  I would've gone to the booth and made sure Aggie could perform under pressure had I known he was just a few rows up.  Thanks for the help all year.

Great job Rebs!!  Fired on all cylinders last night!  Coach Williams did all he could to keep from running up the score as the JV played both sides of the ball for most of the 4th.  Having said that, I saw some young guys with plenty of hunger to hit someone last night, so looks to me like the Rebs will be in good shape for a few years. Thanks to SETXsports and AggiesAreWe for the coverage.  Come back next week and we'll do it again against powerhouse Falls City... As country as I can possibly sound,  "We ain't scared"!!!   LOL    Good luck Rebs!

[/quote]Much closer than the score.  Evadale was up 12-7 going into the 4th.  A Cypress interception at the 40 and returned to the 10 gave the Warriors a short field and quick score in the 4th making it 14-12 CC.  Two big plays on another possession and it was 21-12 really quick. CC has a beast of a running back with good speed and great vision.  The CC QB has a good head on his shoulders and a good arm....and time to throw.  The O and D line for CC  was by far the best the Rebs have seen this year.  With all that said, a few more breaks and it could have been a couple quick scores by Evadale and a different score.  CC is a good team and seem to be well coached, good luck in TAPPS playoffs. Yeah Blue, that was a long wait for an ambulance.  If I'm not mistaken, private schools are not required to have and ambulance on site for football games, so that's just the nature of the beast.  Maybe some Reb starters can sit next week and get healed up.  Keep workin Rebs, it all starts in 2 weeks.

Well, the more I find out about CC they seem to be a pretty darn good club.  This will be the best test the Rebels have had all year.  I still think the Rebs are up for the test and will play hard nose football and continue to swarm to the ball.  This will be a good game for the Rebs as they get geared up for the playoffs.
